Welcome to Caring Transitions - Newport News
Welcome to Caring Transitions. We are Phil and Pam Sweat. I am fortunate to have lived here on the VA Peninsula all my life; having stayed in one area has allowed me to get to know not only the area well but the people here. I have witnessed firsthand the difficulties life brings us and those we love. These stressful events seem to recur time and again with knowledgeable, understanding help rarely available. This is what compelled me to start Caring Transitions, a compassionate, caring group of people, here to assist with those stressful times.
Everyone is at some time faced with a life changing event that displaces their lives. These events force us to make changes in our lives. It is this Transition, moving from our comfortable place in life, dealing with this life altering event and regaining that lost comfort again that we are here to help with. These Transitions are what brings us stress that is often overwhelming, and sometimes seemingly insurmountable. Many people faced by these situations are so overwhelmed they don’t know where to begin.
Life’s Transitions will take many forms. It may be a retiree or “empty nester” that no longer needs that large family house, its costs and exertions to maintain. A work related relocation or the upheaval of a divorce each bring their own sets of challenges. A life changing illness or injury may force changes in our lives and living arrangements. The daily changing needs of an aging parent or other family member also requires a special Caring Transition. There are many situations that will bring sudden or unexpected changes in our lives. All faced with the need to Transition from one stage in life to another.
