We don’t just have decades experience in the antique field but we have decades experience in estate & tag sales.  No other company can boast that!  Before there were television shows and before it was the cool thing to do, we were conducting estate & tag sales.  Unlike most, we do not have a gaggle of antique dealers working with us . That would be a conflict of interest.  We work for you and only you! We are a family run business and that’s how we will stay. With decades in the antique & estate sale field, we have the knowledge needed to market and sell the treasures you have collected or inherited. We are a full service company that produces on site estate & tag sales with unequaled results. We work feverishly to market and sell your items to get you the highest regional prices. A Little about me.... 

 My Name is Sashin Hume and I run An Antiquarian Affair.

If you or a loved one is moving, downsizing, redecorating, or had a beloved family member just pass away, you will need my help.

 I have been in this field since the age of 17. I am straight forward, honest, and a hard worker. I have loved antiques since I was a little girl and can wheel and deal in my sleep!

 I have been invited to speak and evaluate antiques by dozens of groups and places around Hampton Roads. I have even been invited on, Treasures In Your Home, the television show to speak and display my collections.

 I specialize in on-site estate and house tag sales.  My motto is,"sell it down to the bare walls!" That is exactly what I do every sale I run! After a sale I usually have between 3 - 10 % left. At the end of the sale you can choose to keep, disperse to family members, or donate what has not been sold. If you do choose to donate, it makes a lovely tax break. I have executed estate sales from Virginia to Montana. I take great pride in my business so I can assure you if I am involved it will be done the correct way. There will be no early sales. Numbers will be handed out before the sale (for proper crowd control). No dealers will put items in sale from their shops (this is commonly done). My crew and I, will with care and diligence, clean, research, price, and stage a beautiful  sale for you.

 I can sell anything from kitchen items, clothing, antique furniture, estate jewelry, garage items, to paper collectables. Everything will make you money. Do not throw ANYTHING AWAY!  When you stop and think about it, there is no other way to sell a house full of items from the kitchen utensils to the sterling silver at top market prices in 2 to 3 days! Even though I graduated from Mendenhall School of Auction, I still prefer to run estate tag sales! You have much better control over the price of each item during the sale.

 I take only get a small % of the proceeds from the sale....so if I don't make you money....then I don't make any money! My estate sales have generated up to $39,000 during a 3 day sale! One estate sale even realized during a 2 weekend sale $68,000!
