Belongings is “relocation redefined”

An initial consultation is free for potential clients to help us learn about their needs…we will then develop a customized plan based on package options chosen. We will work within a client’s budget—nothing goes forward until we are assured that everyone is happy with the contract. In fact we advise our clients to take time to look over the contract with their family, friends or lawyers, whomever they can trust to help them make the decision. We can help….

Plan The Move:

·       We can help our clients to identify their new home, and help determine a date on which the move will take place.  We will communicate with appropriate persons at their new residence to ensure that their new apartment is move-in ready, and can assist in notifying the appropriate utility companies_import to terminate services at their old residence and advise them of the need to commence services at their new residence—we can even help with changing client addresses with the U.S. Postal Service and the subscription departments of magazines or other publications to which they subscribe!

Documentation Assistance:

·       We can document every step of the process and ensure that their estate is in proper order, e.g., insurance policies, powers of attorney, individual health plans, and living wills and testaments.

Home Sale Preparation:

·       We can contact reputable realty companies_import from which the client can choose to provide listing services in order to sell the home. We can clean, de-clutter, and even stage the home to get it ready to sell.  We will also provide advice for repairs and/or improvements that will help them receive the best price for their home.

Inventory of Belongings:

·       Our unique software enables us to inventory all of a client’s belongings and categorize them on a web-based system.  Through a secure log-in, family members and close friends can view the inventory list from anywhere in the world.  So no matter the distance, family and friends can be involved in their move almost as if they were right there with them. No need to worry that a particular cherished item will be overlooked—it’s all there view at any time.

Sort Belongings:

·       We will help clients through the stages of deciding what to keep, what to sell, what to donate, what to throw away. We can help with packing items and making sure they’re delivered safely to family members or their favorite charity, for example.

Sell Unwanted or Unused Items:

·       We will help determine the best route to sell those items that a client decides to sell, in the manner that will be the most advantageous to them—whether that may include an estate sale, auction, direct sale to private collectors, selling items on the Internet. We help utilize any of these methods and sometimes a combination of several—whatever gets our clients the best price for their items. Surprisingly, this even includes large ticket items that they may no longer feel the need to keep, such as a boat or vehicle!

Pack and Deliver:

·       We work with qualified licensed and insured (and careful!) movers to move household goods, furnishings, and other personal property from a client’s current residence to their new home.

Clean:

·       We will clean out and clean up a client’s old residence—as well as their new home if needed! If they are moving out of a rental, we will go through the rental company’s move-out checklist, making sure everything is in order to ensure that the client gets their deposit back.

Unpack and Settle:

·       We will assist in setting up household goods, furnishings and other personal property in their new residence—down to the last knickknack on the shelves—so all our clients have to do is turn the key –and they’re home.
