The task turned out to be too overwhelming, mentally and physically. We decided to use Sort My Space Estate Sales and it was on of the best decisions we made. Rita did a great job and sold the entire contents of the home! The stress relief was immeasurable. We enthusiastically and without reservation recommend her.

Rita worked very hard to photograph and display the items from my mother’s estate. She was knowledgeable about the items, and took time to uncover their history. She made an emotionally difficult experience easier. I would recommend using her services!

I enjoy shopping online at their sales. And when we go to the house at our pick-up time we can go in and see anything that's left in person. We usually buy a few more things when we're there. We can't wait to see what the next estate sale will bring.

We love antique toys and trains. The pictures are great, and when we get our purchases it's so fun to unwrap everything and it's exciting to see that it's exactly what we wanted. I inherited my grandfather’s house in WV and was overwhelmed at the thought of organizing and selling all of his belongings. I live in Kentucky, so Sort My Space worked with me remotely, organized the entire sale and managed to clean out the entire house in time for its closing.
I HIGHLY recommend Sort my Space, I really could not have done it on my own and am so thankful they exist and provide these services!

My husband and I were being transferred out of state and we had a houseful of items we had collected over the years. We were not going to be able to take them with us. We contacted Rita and Thank goodness we did. She earned every dime she made !!! Pictures were fabulous!! The virtual sale and pickups were handled fabulously as well. Everything was sold and at great prices!! Do not hesitate to give her a call !!!!

I want to thank you for your fantastic help throughout this process. Your sensitivity to the range of family emotions that I would likely encounter as the estate sale was designed and implemented helped me avoid breakdowns that I would have likely produced for myself were it not for your coaching. Your expertise positioning the items for online sale was apparent -- everything looked so good online that I found myself not recognizing items that I had written off as having little value, and it was delightfully easy for people to buy items. And lastly, your thorough cleaning of the house, and disposing of the many items that had no sale value was a huge help to me -- having priced what it would take to get that work done, I calculated that as much as half your fee could have been justified by that work alone.

The first time Rita visited my mom's house to discuss the sale I was impressed with her knowledge, drive, and enthusiasm. I was overwhelmed and she immediately put me at ease with her take charge, professional attitude. She was respectful but also honest about all the items to be sold and I was completely comfortable turning everything over to her and giving her free reign. The sale was a success...so grateful she made such a difficult situation have a satisfactory end!

It was the 1st time going to an estate sale and the salespeople were really helpful. Everything was set up professionally like a boutique store, which made it easy to see and find what I wanted to buy. Loved it so much I brought back the whole family the next day! They made everything so easy for me and my family. They even helped find a mover to ship items to another state for my sister.
Hundreds of people came to the sale and Rita and her staff were able to help them find what they wanted to buy. After the sale, we were paid very fast and the house looked clean and tidy.

We met the Sort My Space staff a couple years ago at an estate sale in Huntington and were very impressed with the way everything was displayed and, even though there was a huge crowd, they took the time to listen to our questions about an estate sale for our mother. When we finally called them, they remembered who we were and helped us with a wonderful estate sale. From beginning to end, their experienced staff was terrific. Two thumbs up!

We hired Sort My Space last Spring for our parents' estate sale. Rita and her team did a wonderful job. Comments from friends who visited the sale said it was very organized, things were respectfully and effectively displayed, and everyone was very nice with the customers. Rita knows her stuff and was an enormous help during a difficult process.

Sort my Space, owned by Rita McGee, runs some of the best estate sales in Charleston. I have had some of my best finds at her sales. Her sales are well run, professional, clean and fun. You can always work with her on prices and she is very knowledgeable about antiques. I would highly recommend her for both estate sale services and home organizing, because I have seen the way she has managed to take very cluttered estates and make them look amazing in a very short period of time. Our family chose Rita and Sort My Space after two people recommended Rita. This was an emotional and exhausting time for us. Rita made us comfortable in our difficult time. It was amazing how smoothly it went, and although we don't know who bought what, we felt like our family memories were priced and sold with the dignity they deserved. Payment and accounting swiftly followed. Questions were answered promptly. We are still depending on Rita for advice on the complete closure of this estate. What a relief it was to turn the task of a huge estate sale over to Rita and her team. They were professional, kind and understanding, honest and diligent in the entire process. It was amazing how many hours they spent preparing for this 4-floor large home sale, with items that were caked with age-old dirt (from the basement), to organizing like-items in areas for best exposure. The turn-out of buyers was amazing, so their technique of marketing the sale was excellent. I was extremely pleased with my Estate Sale with Rita McGhee from Sort My Space in September of 2011. She has been an organizational Angel to help me clean out my mother's home. I live in Florida and corresponded with Rita long distance. Not to worry though, as Rita was on the task. She is very well organized and resourceful when it comes to selling items for an Estate.
