Orion’s Attic provides estate sale services, house
clean-outs and consignment throughout the Virginia, D.C., and Maryland region.
We sell antiques, art, collectibles, modern furniture and more in an
ever-growing number of antique shops and high-end flea markets. We host Upscale
Yard Sales at various locations throughout the year, participate in outdoor
markets and sell on-line in our Web store and on eBay. Our home-based shop in
Silver Spring, Maryland is open by appointment on a limited basis to known
buyers.
Co-owned by Christopher Lancette and Won-ok Kim,
Orion’s Attic enables people to “Buy good stuff, do great things.” Making a
difference instead of just a profit is a part of everything we do: We provide
fundraising services to select nonprofits by selling high-end items that are
donated to them. We also donate a part of our sales to charities we support.
Shoppers and dealers love buying from us because of
our enthusiasm for finding great items and selling them at affordable prices.
Clients love using our services because of our tenacity and can-do approach to
every job. Take a look at just a few of the people we’ve helped this year (and
see the “Testimonials” section of the blog on our Web site for more details).
· Estate sale for Mike and Marianne
Francis – McLean, Virginia: The Francis family turned to us when they decided
to retire, sell their home and move to Vermont. We promptly sold every single
item in their home in a two-day sale that attracted well over 700 buyers to the
event.
· Junk removal for Pat Moss – Bethesda,
Maryland: Pat struck out when she tried to find a company that was willing to
come in and remove the mountains of clutter that had piled up in her mother’s
home during a lifetime. We arrived, brought a crew of local teenagers that we
employ and mentor, and got to work. We put in more than 300 man-hours, filled
multiple mobile dumpsters and cleaned the house. We worked so thoroughly that
she was able to sell the house by the time we were finished.
· Storage locker cleanout and consignment
for Ken H – Rockville, Maryland: Ken had been paying a storage unit company
$300 a month for a year and counting to house some of his mother’s antiques and
collectibles. He was also having trouble with “letting go” of them because of
their sentimental value. We made two trips with our truck
to clear out the unit and promptly began selling the items on consignment. Ken
then closed his account.
