I used Chris Jordan and his Best Rate Estate Sales and Cleanouts company for a timing-sensitive estate sale in January 2017. It was tentatively planned nearly 2 years in advance and Chris was graciously able to be flexible in twice updating tentative estate sale dates as my situation evolved. Ultimately, Chris was professional in coming well in advance to take photos, then subsequently do staging and pricing. Finally, at the estate sale itself, Chris was effective at selling a good number of items, cooperating with me and neighbors on a few exceptions (patio planters, mattresses,..), completing the estate sale, and cleaning out to broom-swept condition all remains as discussed and reviewed. I would definitely recommend Chris for estate sales and cleanouts in Boston and north of Boston areas. What made Chris' efforts stand out was his honesty in our dealings and in his sensitivity to the fact that it was my own terminal illness which drove this estate sale and cleanout, as I wanted to avoid tasks falling to my late teen daughters or family which could be handled by Chris or the funeral home or others I made plans for. Needed help with an estate sale for a family home. Obviously, a difficult situation to be in. Chris was very positive, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. He made us feel at ease that everything would be handled, and afterwards was incredibly patient while we prepared for the final cleanout. These guys did an awesome job, and I highly recommend them if you need to run an estate sale and/or cleanout.
Another thing I wanted to note. I had called another estate sale service that had a thrown together wordpress page. The phone call I had was insanely unprofessional, and they demanded that I have $15,000 minimum in goods for sale. I knew it was probably a mistake to call them, but I'm glad I did because it made Best Rate look even better in comparison.

On Saturday, November 19, 2016, I had an Estate Sale at my home run by Best Rate Cleanouts & Estate Sales. This organization, led by owner Chris Jordan, was fantastic and met my expectations and more! My home is a large antique and Chris and his staff treated my goods, my home and my "customers" with respect. The staff carried items to the car for patrons. This ensured that my home did not get dings, and paint scrapes and I appreciated the care. And the patrons appreciated the help!
From 9-2, the sale was busy! Although I was not there during the sale, through the beauty of Face Book, I had reports on the great traffic from the sale in REAL TIME! I was delighted that most of all the material in my home was sold. This was huge to me as I am down sizing and needed to find a new home for most of my "stuff!" Many people from town attended and purchased, and many people from Chris' mailing list attended too. Incredible that in 5 hours my goal of emptying my home and making some money at the same time, was accomplished. WIN-WIN!!!
Chris is spot on at marking items in the correct range for a sale and I loved having people in my town tell me they were thrilled with the great stuff they purchased and at a reasonable price.
At the end of the sale the staff gathered anything remaining in each room into one corner and swept floors. It made it easy for me to then repack remnants and get them into the garage for a Salvation Army and Habitat Pick Up. Plus, Chris will come prior to my home selling to assist with a final clean up.
I could not have done this without Chris and his team. Susan at the cash register and inventory list, as well as other staff and members of Chris' family were excellent in monitoring the sale and getting the job done. Because of them, I can breathe easy and know that when my home sells, I will not be stressed trying to get out of the home. The lion share of the moving and selling of furnishings has been done and done efficiently.
I recommend Best Rate Cleanouts & Estate Sales to anyone needed help getting ready to downsize! As a realtor, I recommend this firm to my clients frequently! If you are thinking of having an estate sale, just do it and use Chris at Best Rate Cleanouts! Seriously, my only regret was not calling him sooner. I had been agonizing over what to do with tons of stuff... whether to throw it away, donate, or sell... and if to sell, where (online, garage sales, pawn shops, etc.) and for how much. One way or another, I did get rid of some of it myself but doing it that way is so time consuming, and I'm sure I lost money because I didn't know the value. Luckily, I finally contacted Chris and he was really great. He is professional yet personable. He knows his stuff and has experts who he consults with as well. They make it so easy! I had an extremely successful sale and could not be happier. My advice is to just trust Chris and his crew with the whole process. Your only "chore" should be cashing the check when it's done! 😊😎

My parent's house had over 50 years of "stuff". We were lucky to have Best Rate come in and run the estate sale. After the estate sale, they emptied the house so I could sell it. Not only did they clear the house out, my mom made quite a bit of cash.
I wish I had before and after pictures. It was unbelievable.
Three days after the cleanout, the house sold. An empty house is so much easier to sell

We were extremely fortunate to select Best Rate Cleanouts and Estate Sales to help us with our estate sale in Brockton. Chris and his staff were amazing! We would still be sifting through rooms full of stuff that we did not know what to do with had it not been for their expert help. We always thought “Estate Sales” were reserved for exclusive, high end properties. However, Chris assured us that he would be able to sell many of our possessions, and in fact, he did! After reading many reviews for lots of Estate Sale companies, I decided to talk to Chris & Sue from Best Rate. They came to my house and walked around looking at everything. It was clear to me that they are very knowledgeable about antiques, artwork, sports memorabilia, collectibles and just about anything else. Aside from offering a reasonable split of the proceeds, I was impressed that they take credit cards and help buyers move heavy items from the house in order to prevent damage to your home.
A few weeks prior to the sale, Chris came to the house to take pictures. He rearranged items so they looked great in the pictures. A few days prior to the sale he & Sue came back to price everything.
The day of the sale they arrived bright and early to set up & prepare for the day. There was someone manning each floor and the garage where Sue set up a check out area. Then from their vast list of email contacts, buyers began to arrive. When I returned at the end of the sale, I was floored at how much they sold.
They are very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. They do their research to assure you they are pricing your possessions to sell at a fair and market value.
I can't say enough how pleased my husband and I were with the results.

Chris Jordan and the entire staff from Best Rate Cleanouts & Estate Sales did all the things necessary to make the sale at my house successful and problem-free. From the initial walk-through to the setting up and pricing of items to be sold, they were knowledgeable and skilled. I couldn't believe how efficiently and systematically they worked to display each item at its best. Despite the large volume of items and work to be done, they accomplished it all without seeming to rush. This reassured me that I could trust them to properly handle the sale of my possessions.
On the very cold day of the sale they arrived early, set up the cashier's table, and gave out numbers to the buyers already waiting. From the time the sale opened to the end of the day they managed the number of people in my house at any given time, collected payment for sales, and when necessary, safely moved furniture out the door to buyer's waiting cars. At the end of the day they left my house neat and swept the floors.
They agreed to postpone the cleanout to allow me time to make donations of items remaining. They paid me promptly, and completed the cleanout according to my schedule. I can't say anything more except thank-you, Chris, I couldn't have done this on my own!

Talk about a life saver!! In the process of selling my house, I had consolidated stuff from 3 households and had no time to do yard sales or donations. I thought “estate sales” were just for old Victorian houses with lots of antiques. Not the case! Chris and the Best Rate staff organized everything, conducted a hugely successful sale and even sold my car. To top it off, they removed the remaining items, saving me loads of time and enabling me to get my house on the market sooner. Chris assured me that Best Rate would take care of everything. Chris and his team were just terrific throughout this entire process. Not only were they prompt and efficient, they were patient and kind as well, which is really important in what can be a very emotional situation. Chris reviewed the items we had, explained his pricing, and did the necessary research. Then he returned later to price everything and stage for the sale. The sale went off without a hitch and they left the place clean. He returned later to do the clean out and that also went very well, despite the challenge of frigid weather. These are good, honest people who work hard. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing an estate sale or clean-out.

Chris and his staff where great to work with for my estate sale. I didn't have to do anything they first came to my home to look around and then sent me a contract. Two weeks before the sale Chris came back to photograph everything and it was on his and many other websites within a day. My sale was on a Sunday and they spent two days staging and pricing my items. The day of the sale was like clock work very organized and painless. Chris and his team were wonderful to work with to have an estate sale. My mother and I needed to clean out a five bedroom house with a huge garage in order to get ready to sell our house. Chris and his team were very professional and staged the house before our sale. Chris was able to sell off most of the items in the house during our two day sale in August. They even protected our hard wood floors--in messy weather--with rosin paper throughout. This was a very different type of experience, and we could not have been more pleased. Chris and his team at Best Rate exceeded all my expectations by providing reliable, efficient and individualized clean out services for my house. He is sensitive to the difficulty a person experiences cleaning out years of family memories and does his best to make this difficult task a little easier. Within a few minutes of meeting him and listening to the description of the services he provides, his honesty and commitment to excellence was quite evident. He arranged a clean out plan that met my individual needs and was able to adhere to this despite multiple snowstorms succeeding at cleaning out over 5000 sq. feet of memories. After a bad experience with another company, I was very leery about choosing new one. When Best Rate's estimate came in so low, I was even more cautious. Boy was I happily surprised. I recently bought a vintage bass guitar from one of Best Rate Cleanouts Estate Sales, and I don't even live in the same state!!! I saw the sale online and called. Talked to Chris and he said if I was a serious buyer he would give me a crack at the bass the day of the sale by phone. And he did! Seriously, working with him on this purchase was easy and pleasant. We held a two day estate sale for our home in Harvard Mass which was a huge success. Best Rate Cleanouts delivered on everything.
Friendly courteous staff, professional and on time. Friends and family who attended the sale were impressed at the teams professional service.
We had well over 300 people day one, no damage to our home at all. They put down paper on all floors, handled removal of all furniture and pictures and made sure no more than 40 people were in home at a time.
From the signage throughout the home and police detail controlling traffic this company knows how to run a successful sale. Pricing was fair and realistic which enabled us to ease our move to Az on schedule without any hiccups. Oh and we received our check ahead of schedule!

When my family decided to move to a smaller home, we were overwhelmed by the amount of “stuff” we no longer needed and had to get rid of. Chris Jordon and his staff are extremely customer centric. I'm not sure where to begin. After the death of both my parents within a year I faced the challenge of clearing out their house (which I lived in for almost all of my life). Surrounded by MANY memories and the knowledge that the house was going to be torn down, I was nothing short of a mess. Chris, the owner, was nothing but kind, compassionate, accommodating, and professional. I have never met a person who truly cared about someone who they never met. He had respect for me AND my deceased parents. I never felt like he didn't have my best interest or wasn't willing to go the extra mile to make me feel better. I highly recommend Chris and his crew. The Estate Sale was professional and well done. Their clean out left me with nothing left to do but remember my parents fondly. Bottom line, I couldn't recommend them more.

We were planning a very long distance move and needed to sell the majority of our belongings. Chris was very responsive, prompt, and professional. He came to assess what would be needed and to explain his services and commission. He was prompt and thorough in communications. He was on schedule and complete in the two preparation visits for publicity photos and staging/pricing. On the day of the sale his crew was friendly, very well organized, and professional. They drew a very large crowd of customers and sold more than we expected. They were very careful to protect the house while moving furniture out for customers. After interviewing three local estate sale companies, our family decided to use Best Rate Cleanouts. Chris and his crew were polite and professional from start to finish. They did a great job of displaying and organizing furniture, art, tools, curios and making it all look appealing. We were advised on what items would readily sell, but we also appreciated Chris’ honesty in letting us know what items might be harder to sell at our estate sale. Each family has unique items, and in our case, we had some early American artifacts and artwork that we weren’t sure of the value.
