Hastings founded Hastings Hatchery in 1917 and by the mid 1950’s the hatchery had grown to be one of the largest hatcheries in the country with locations in Maryland, Arkansas, and Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Agnes Hastings were avid collectors of fine antiques and purchased only the most genuine items while travelling on business throughout the United States. Over the period of their lifetime Mr. and Mrs. Hastings amassed a collection rivaling any other in the area.
