Listing Information

Such an interesting sale and home!  A rich history that spans decades.  All furnishings are in beautiful shape and well kept.
Additional photos will be posted during set up.  Please read a bit about the home below.

During the prohibition era, the home was owned by Nucky Johnson, a reputed gangster and friend to Al Capone, Myer Lansky.
HBO television made a series called Boardwalk Empire based on the life of Nucky Johnson but they called him Ducky Thompson on the series...
In the lower basement the windows were not made of clear glass, but frosted glass and later changed to block glass.  This was to hide the illegal activities going on in the house.
The home which is  located across the street from the bay,  made it possible for runners to bring the illegal alcohol up the bay and run into the basement.  There is an original bar and gaming room (which was changed to a bedroom).
The floors were originally wood, which is not normal for a lower level floor, but because they gambled and drank they made the rooms feel like they were upstairs....Unfortunately, the home has survived several hurricanes over the years and the original floors were replaced in the basement.

When I moved in, we restored the bar, in it's original red patina and gold.  There was a safe downstairs that we moved to the second floor.  It was empty. There were original glasses in the bar area, and we found the bottles which were broken during the storm.
