Living Estate of Horace & Euline Brock

Horace and Euline Brock have lived in Denton since 1954, raising a family and building remarkable careers. Horace was the University of North Texas' first Distinguished Professor (in Accounting), while Euline is a historian who has taught at Texas Women's University but is better known for her extensive public life as Denton's mayor and in many other capacities. Both Horace and Euline have served on many boards, commissions, committees, and charities in Denton and the region.

From the 1960s through the 2000s, Horace and Euline travelled extensively, living with their three children for two years in Istanbul, Turkey. They were among the rare American visitors to the Soviet Union in 1968 and to China in 1984 and 1986. They also made multiple visits to Turkey and to Egypt, Greece, Western Europe, and Israel. During these travels they had a keen eye for beautiful and eclectic items, decorating their house with Turkish tiles and Chinese vases. Their elegant taste is evident in decorative items, clothing, furnishings, and in the timeless architecture of their custom-built Mount-Miller home.

The Mount-Miller home is being offered by:  Laura Brewer of Ebby Halliday-  (940)367-0329

Denton, TX
