Listing Information

This Simply Amazing Estate Sale is located in Farmington Hills on a picturesque five-acre lot set back from the road. The home is over 1,700 square feet and overlooks an amazing backyard that slopes down into a small forest, before which a small horse barn is situated.

The Rec Room downstairs has an amazing collection of taxidermy, including an extra-large Buffalo shoulder mount in excellent condition and a variety of smaller animals including fox and beaver pelts, birds and even a squirrel. There are also some nice furniture pieces, the most notable being a beautifully carved wooden table with a glass top covering an eagle cut into the wood. A player piano sits against the back wall, atop which you will find even more lovely carved decor items and beautiful feather headdress.

The basement office is set up in a professional manner with just a touch of personality. There is a large desk with a matching wall desk, a collection of model airplanes, an IBM Correcting Selectric II Typewriter and a Clark Sullivan Print with Stamp. There are even more taxidermy ducks. Just outside of the office you will find the backroom of the basement, which has an older washer and dryer set, a Ping Pong Table and a lot of little odds and ends, including a lovely slab of wood that would make an excellent table. The tool room has an expansive collection of small tools and equipment, from belt sanders to McCulloch Chainsaws.

On the main floor in the master bedroom is a large assortment of men and women’s jewelry. Necklaces, bracelets, tie clips, cuff links and more! There is a beautiful little Weiman Heirloom coffee table, a vintage porcelain mid-century “Mac & Mable” set, and two different Cyndy Callog prints hanging on the wall. The most appealing items in this room are definitely the vintage Zaccagnini Jousting Knights that sit atop the dresser.

Next to the master is a small entertainment room, outfitted with a reclining Lay-Z-Boy loveseat, a round marble end table, a lovely standing floor lamp with a shelf and a mid-size computer desk. This room has a Sony KV-32HS420 television, a Sansui G 2000 stereo receiver, and a Channel Master 9521 Antenna Rotator Controller. The closet across the hall has a wonderful selection of jackets and miscellaneous items, including a box full of cork-handle boating knives.

The living room has beautiful natural lighting with a connected sunroom. There is a large, ornately carved glass-top coffee table, a San Francisco Musical Cable Car, and a large collection of bird related knick-knacks. The couch and chairs are vintage and have been reupholstered in a beautiful blue pattern. Above the fireplace hangs two Giovanni Battista Piranesi Vase pieces.

The dining room has a very large assortment of beautiful Waterford and Swarovski crystal. There are Waterford Crystal ashtrays, jars, key holders, and glasses and Swarovski crystal roses, tulips, and a beautiful chandelier. Most of the crystal sits on an exquisite Fancher Furniture Company China Cabinet, while some of the items are on a lovely little tea cart. There is also some china, including Tuscan Fine English Bone China and Royal Albert. As for wall art, there are some lovely nature prints from Zeltie Jones, Catherine McClung, and Russell Cobane.

The upstairs bedroom is minimally furnished but boasts a vintage Kroehler custom crafted chest, a Penox Technologies lift chair, a beautiful little display cabinet and a sturdy little bed frame, mattress and box spring.

In the attic, you will find a large variety of items ranging from books (many by Agatha Christie), vintage WWII Aviator Goggles, luggage, wine crates, unbranded vintage recurve bows and a whole room that is almost nothing but glassware and silver-plated items. The attic also has a very cool large vintage wooden derby car.

This estate sale is the place to be if you are interested in taxidermy, the outdoors, china, crystal and tools. This massive home has almost every room stuffed with tons of cool items that you won’t want to miss out on!
