Beautiful Scottsdale Estate

60% OFF SATURDAY!

Directions: This home is in the gated community of Ancala Country Club, near the corner of Frank Lloyd Wright and Via Linda. At the gate, please say that you are there for the Herman Open House. Please park on the North  side (uphill side) of the street only (the right side of the street when you are approaching the house); the streets are narrow and fire access needs to be maintained. Please do not block driveways and be considerate of the neighbors. The community is gorgeous, please watch your speed. Thanks so much.

This Outstanding Estate is home to many of the Beautiful Furnishings and One of a Kind Items originally found within the Zanger Mansion; as our Client is the Great Grand Daughter of the Original Zanger Residents. The Zanger Mansion was an 18 room Italian Mansion located in San Jose, California originally owned by a physician and his wife, Nana. Nana was frugal and not one to flaunt her affluence, so she tucked away and never used many of the "luxuries" given to her and her husband in lieu of cash payments for services rendered. The result preserved this heritage through the years for us to enjoy now.

The American Indian Rugs and Tapestries are Hand Woven and originate from the 1930's-1940's. One such piece is called Navaho Yei and is a Weaving that depicts three figures with repeating diamonds set on an Ivory field. It is quite rare and is phenomenal condition.

The Wall Light Sconces and Gorgeous Antique Table Lamps originate approximately 1910-1915 and include a set of 5; also for sale in this estate. In 1928, a Tea Set of Fine China, hand painted in Japan was given to the Zangers as a wedding gift. The pattern is called Noritake Morimura Lustreware in Peach and Black.

An odd piece of Furniture was found upon the passing of Nana, the great matriarch of the family. The mirrors were covered with wallpaper and the shelf tops covered with wax. It had been used as a secret alter for prayers. It appears to be Handmade and is Unbelievably Ornate and Outstanding. The Wallpaper has been removed and the Shelves cleaned of Wax. It is Hanging on the Wall as a Hutch and is just Gorgeous.

The Great Grand Daughter, Janice, has also accumulated some Phenomenal Items. There are Trunks of Antique and Vintage Apparel ranging from the 1920's to the 1950's; including Shoes, Purses, Hats, Furs & Minks, Gloves, Scarves, and Wraps. There are boxes of Antique Linens; including Tablecloths, Bedding, Blankets, Quilts, Lace Curtains and Fabrics, Pillows, and Throws.

Janice and her Husband have traveled the World, collecting fine treasures from Germany, Japan, Asia, Africa, India, and England, and the Southwestern US. There are Original Brass RubbingsTall Japanese Formal Dolls from the 1960's,  a Kisii Soapstone Sculpture with Hands engraved carved in Tabaka Hills in Kisii, Kenya, Africa, a Hermes Humpback Mantle Clock made by Elias Ingraham in Bristol, a Tall Hand Made Wooden Vase signed by L. Montague, two Original Navajo Sand Paintings by Alfred Watchman, a Print in the original frame by Heinrich Hofmann, entitled "Jesus among the Doctors", circa 1884, a Pahponee Vase from the Kickapoo and Potawatomi Nations, an Amethyst Geode, Vintage Hawaiian Dolls from 1952 through 1954, Hopi Kachina Dolls signed by Kevin Horace Quannie, Several Pewter Goblets and Tankards, Hand Made Japanese Bizen-Yaki Pottery, and even an Original Antique Double Arm Bronze Argand Lamp, Circa 1820.

There are Fabulous Pieces of Art in the Yard which include 3 large Flat Metal Sculptures from an artist in Santa Fe, NM, a Metal Saguaro and 3 Golden Cactus Outdoor Metal Sculptures with Electric lights inside, as well as a Tall Kinetic Metal and Glass Yard Sculpture. You will also find Beautiful Patio Tables, Chairs, and Décor.

In addition, we have Gorgeous Artwork, Beautiful Vases and Décor, Silver, Stone, and Bead Jewelry, Watches, Ornate Crystal and Silver, Unique Blown Glass Paperweights, Fine China, Beautiful Furnishings, Kitchen Galore, Books & Media, Office Items, Tons of Sewing Supplies and a HobbyLock Serger Machine, Custom Children's Clothes, a Micheal's Store in the Garage, Many tools, and so so so much more.
