All items listed in this auction are the sole possession of the Consignor until such time they are declared sold.  Southern Trust Estate and Auction Company is the acting agent for the Consignor.  Bidders are legally bound to all terms and conditions as stipulated below once placing bids.  Bidder is responsible for his/her own due diligence on any listed item(s) up for bid.   Please note that Auction Firm cannot always see defects to items for description purposes.  Therefore, it is imperative for all bidders to take time for preview or to study the pictures provided prior to bidding.   There are no refunds or returns once item is purchased.  No exceptions. 
Preview Day and Time: Preview of items may be made by appointment only.  Call for address and directions.      
Online Auction Day and Time: Bidding starts Monday, September 25th, 2017. 9pm EST.   Lots will close every minute starting with Lot 1 at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 1st , 2017. Individual closing will be extended 5 minutes when a new bid comes in within 5 minutes of lot closing.    
Pick Up Day and Time: Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017 from noon to 6pm EST.       
Address of Sale: Items onsite in Brevard, NC.  You will receive exact pick up location on your invoice after the auction ends.  If you would like your items shipped, you must contact us immediately through an email or phone call. See shipping instructions below.   
Shipping Instructions: Local pick up only on large or heavy item.  Auction firm will assist with shipping of small items on this auction only.  You must call prior to bidding to confirm item qualifies for shipping.  There is a $2.00 per item handling fee.  Auction firm will transport item to local Mailing Store and you will be notified as to phone number and address of store.  It is responsibility of Bidder to make full arrangements for payment and to estimate weight charges with Mailing Store.  Auction firm is not responsible for payment or packing.  Repeat, all shipping is charges is responsibility of the Bidder.  No item may leave the premises until entire invoice is paid in full.  Invoices must be paid within 24 hours of last item’s close time.  Auction description will clearly state if item can be shipped by UPS Store or will require local pick up by Bidder.  Bidder is responsible for all loading and is encouraged to bring help for heavy items.  No staff will be available to assist in loading.      
Shipping weights are not available on lot descriptions.  Please contact Mailing Store prior to bidding to receive estimates as to shipping costs.  Mailing Store will invoice Bidder separately from the auction invoice.  Auction invoice must be paid in full prior to being removed by shipper.  Auction Firm is not responsible for any shipping or pick up issues.  Any item remaining on premises after 48 hours of auction will be removed by Auction Firm at the expense of the Bidder.  Absolutely no refunds on items purchased at auction or abandoned by Bidder.  Items abandoned by Bidder will constitute a forfeiture of your purchased item(s).  Abandonment will be determined by either the failure to pay invoice within allotted time or pick up by Bidder or shipper within 72 hours of auction’s end.       
Payment Instructions: All winning Bidders will be invoiced after all auction lots have ended.  Bidder is responsible for following all printed instructions on making payment to ensure that the item(s) purchased are not considered abandoned.  Payments are to be made via a secured Paypal account.  Alternative payment methods must be communicated to the Auction Firm prior to bidding on any items and confirmed by Auction Firm prior to end of auction.  Invoice must be paid in full within 24 hours of closing of last lot in auction.   A 15% Buyer’s Premium is added to the final total of winning bids.  No sales tax is added to this sale.      
Warranties or Guarantees:   All items are sold as-is, where-is without guarantees of any kind. Auction Firm nor Seller makes any warranties or representations of any kind as to condition, function, authenticity, or description.  Bidder is responsible for all due diligence. Absolutely no returns.  Furthermore, Auction Firm is not liable for any omissions or mistakes in description of items for sale.  Bidder is strongly encouraged to view all photographs, visit location on day of preview, or contact Auction Firm for any clarifications on items desired for purchase.

This is a living estate from an estate off See Off Mountain in Brevard, NC not far from the Connestee Falls area.  It is a beautiful drive and an easy home to find.  The sale is in dedication to the Seller's mother Astrid Melinder Loverud who came from Sweden in 1911 and made her home in the US.  Many of the items up for auction were her personal property or gifts to others from Sweden, Europe, and the Orient.  There is a great collection of rare and unique items including crystal glassware and figurines, Pre-World War II Pisgah Forest pottery (1939-1940) and other local mountain pottery, Howard Miller grandfather clock, solid mahogany highboy and matching dresser set, large oriental wool area rugs, vintage costume jewelry. a Movado woman's watch from Bloomingdale's with original receipt ($900), Oriental painted shell fire screen, sterling ware and individual pieces, sterling dominoes case, cut glass lamps and glassware, a wonderful collection of LLardo figurines, antique brass pieces, furniture, and more.
