Listing Information

This beautiful house on a hill is set far back from the road with a narrow driveway and no street parking, and as such, we cannot have a regular estate sale here. We can only accommodate a few cars at a time. On Friday and Saturday, the sale will be open to the public. You may park in the nearby Knights of Columbus lot at 7 Court House Place, and we will have drivers to shuttle you up to the house, just a minute or two up the hill. We have Steve in a blue GMC Envoy and Angel in a blue Subaru Outback driving on Friday. Persons who prefer not to use the shuttle may reserve one of a very limited number of parking spaces in advance by calling Michelle at 201-674-7464. You MUST call for an appointment to park at the house!

This house is so packed that, after three days, it's as full as an ordinary house on Day One! To liquidate as much as possible, we are offering 30 percent off marked prices throughout the house. Most small items are not marked, and those prices are completely negotiable. No reasonable offer will be refused!

There are a few words we can use to describe the highlights of this amazing sale: art glass, pottery, vintage items, outdoor décor, record collection.

This couple has spent decades collecting art objects directly from the artists in their travels. From pitchers with funny faces to gorgeous rainbow bowls and vases, to collections of cat, frog and lizard figurines, this house may very well have a few thousand individual items of glass, pottery, wood and metal art items. And the outside of the house is just as lavishly and whimsically decorated as the inside.

One unusual item on display is a trio of pinball machine back-glass pieces, beautifully framed. May be sold together or separately.

The record collection is huge and spans the genres, from classic rock and folk to '80s new wave to crazy hard-to-classify recordings. There are LPs, box sets, 45s and even plenty of 78s for the fabulous working Victrola machine! These music lovers also have several exotic drums, a pair of ukuleles and even a xylophone.

There are vintage tools, vintage kitchen items, a service for four of Friendly Village china, a set of Warner Bros. dishes, Warner Bros. and McDonald's glasses, a few Fiesta items including several Warner Bros.-themed Fiesta pieces.

Old and new Coca-Cola signs.

Dept. 56, Christopher Radko and a wide variety of other Christmas decorations.

An assortment of trunks.

Five vintage GI Joe action figures with accessories, including the 1960s footlockers the action figures used to come in.

Pachinko game (also known as Chinese pinball).

The house is loaded with big, beautiful plants in big, beautiful pots, all looking for loving new homes.

Furniture includes a cabinet currently being used as a TV and media center, which has a hutch that fits on top. Large red sectional sofa, big glass and metal coffee table, and a wide variety of shelving units, racks and tables. This is not really a furniture sale, but a liquidation of thousands of small items.

UPDATE: Just added: Drill press, radial arm saw, industrial sander, Craftsman mechanic's toolchest packed with tools we haven't even seen yet!

UPDATE: Came across a cache of costume and sterling jewelry.

Found a big crate full of 1960s-1990s trading cards, including 1962 Mars Attacks, Wacky Packs, Batman, and even racy ones like Penthouse and Hustler pin-ups.

Much more detail and many more photos to come as we get in and begin organizing.
