LARGE 2-DAY AUCTION SALE SATURDAY NOV. 4TH 10:00 AM & SUNDAY NOV. 5TH 1:30 PM 1835 SOUTH PLEASANTS HIGHWAY, ST MARYS WV From the intersection of Route #2 and the Ohio River bridge in St. Marys, continue South on Route #2 for 3/4 miles. Sale is on the left. From Parkersburg drive North on Route #2 for approximately 25 minutes. Sale is on the right 3/4 miles before the St. Marys city limits. AUCTIONEER'S NOTE This sale is reminiscent of the "complete" estate sales typical in the 1960's and 70's when I often made the statement "Something for Everyone". Whether you buy for investment and collecetions, or home use and bargains, you won't want to leave this sale empty handed. In the contemporary categories we are selling nice household furnishings and personal property from the home of the late Betty Snyder, well known resident of St. Marys for many years. For antiques art and collectibles we have the furnishings and personal property from the large 3 story THREE GENERATION home of Sulayne and Joe Brooks (Shinnston WV) who are (like me) getting "up in years" and are feeling increasingly challanged to manage and maintain this very large historical home. We will be selling antique and contemporary furniture from pre Civil War to the present, many art objects including some paintings, a large model car collection (approximately 200 items, H.O. Model trains (all accessories), glassware and china at least 2 steps above what we generally see, large amounts of costume jewelry (some old; some new) including some sterling and gold, small appliances and cookware (some new-still in box), rare "Clarksburg Wine and Liquor Co. whiskey jug (circa 1904), Remington 1858 percussion Army pistol, 50 cal. muzzel loader rifle with beautiful hand made stock, collectible knoives, power and hand tools, advertising memorabilia, beautiful Baldwin studio piano (Acusonic), large well maintained stamp collection, and much more than I can describe at this point. We are 2/3 into unpacking with many items still boxed on pallets. We will begin specific listings of items the first of next week, and will be continually adding to the photo gallery until Wednesday preceding the sale. Sunday's sale will cnsist of items specifically noted as such in the advertising as well as items that we are unable to get on the block Saturdaydue to time constraints. We will accept live phone bids and internet bids for those who wish to participate as such. I can be contacted at 304-684-3793 or e-mailed at: jimbuck90@hotmail.com. R. James (Jim) Buck / Appalachian Auction CO. TERMS OF SALE: CASH OR CHECK WITH GOOD ID AUCTIONEERS: R. JAMES BUCK WV #271 & LOWELL GOFF WV #330 Sale will be indoors so come rain or shine. Refreshments and toilets available. All items sold "as is where is". Order of sale and "Lots" are at auctioneer's discretion.
