Blackwell Auctions is pleased to offer 350 lots of fine estate antiques and vintage items, with an emphasis on Asian & European items, as well as contemporary art and Midcentury furnishings, in our November Exceptional Estates auction.

 

This month's offerings include:

- Fine art, including signed pieces by Willem de Kooning, Joan Miro, Keith Haring, Grant Wood, Robert Rauschenberg, Norman Rockwell, Peter Max and others. Paintings by listed artists Yolande Ardissone, Lazlo Neogrady, Thanh Le and George Wattles Waters, as well as several large pieces by contemporary artist Donna Essig. Ivory and bronze nude sculpture by Affortunato Gori. A selection of antique erotic sketches in the manner of Thomas Rowlandson. Several antique Japanese woodblocks and scrolls.

- A fabulous, one-owner 9’ Baldwin SD-10 Concert Grand Piano, signed by Academy Award winning musician Johnny Green, composer of jazz standard, “Body & Soul.”

- Mid Century Modern Danish furniture and lighting, including a scarce Sten Kristiansson Luxus lamp.

- Art glass by Emile Galle, Moser, Verlys, Thomas Webb and others. Pottery and porcelain, including important Zsolnay cabinet vase, Meissen figurines, Royal Worcester, Bjorn Wiinblad, Gustavsberg.

- Several fine jewelry items -- many with appraisals -- a men’s vintage Rolex, rings, necklaces, bracelets and more. Two natural amber necklaces. A rare EJ Dent half-hunter pocket watch.

- Gold and silver coins.

- Outstanding silver items, including a Chinese repousse sterling silver dragon cocktail shaker with four cups, Russian Imperial 84 silver items, and a matching pair of Tiffany & Co. sterling silver compotes. Wallace Romance of the Sea and Waltz of Spring flatware sets.

- A rare, fully functioning 1890s 2-slot coin operated Polyphon disc music box with 48 discs.

- Leica cameras and lenses.

- Erte Courvoisier Cognac bottles, like new in original boxes, numbers 3 through 7.

- Three vintage Lenci felt dolls.

- More than 40 pieces of antique and vintage carved ivory and scrimshaw.
