ESTATE CHIC’S Sale in Riverside Lifetime of Memories and Treasures… Many will remember Eastwood Studios, if you grew up in the 1970’s -1990’s on the Westside of Wichita, it was more than likely Eastwood’s provided their services for graduation and wedding portraits… Donna and Howard Eastwood lived in Riverside for more than 45 years. They both graduated from WSU and remained loyal Shocker fans. Howard was an avid fisherman and loved camping with his family. Donna enjoyed bridge club and summer vacations, camping with family. They owned and operated Eastwood Portrait Studio, Wichita’s finest portrait studio, first in Twin Lakes and then Indian Hills. The Eastwood’s loved their family, enjoyed their friends and were so proud to live in Wichita Kansas. Donna had a beautiful collection of cobalt blue glass. When the city of Wichita was preparing to rebuild the Manissa Street Bridge near North High, they posted an article in the paper asking for antique cobalt blue glass to crush and use to color the concrete so that the sky behind the buffalo would be beautiful blue and wouldn’t fade in the sun and weather. She proudly took her best glass to be crushed and placed in the bridge right next to her alma-matter. She was so pleased to share what she had gathered over so many years to make her beloved Riverside more beautiful…
