PLEASE READ BEFORE CALLING:

NUMBERS SYSTEM - For those wanting first entry to the sale on Day 1, we give out #s approx. 7:30am for a nice, orderly opening at 9am. Once you get a # you can go get breakfast and return a few minutes till 9 for line-up. In the case of a large crowd, we may open early, yet only if EVERY NUMBER is accounted for in line, otherwise, we always wait until exactly 9 so as to not leave anyone out that came for an early #. Since this sale has a large amount of jewelry, we may limit the first wave so ourjewelry cases aren't overrun. Much of the costume jewelry will be out on tables for you to inspect - anyone wishing to make a purchase will be required to hand it to us for safe keeping until checkout. All fine jewelry will be shown one piece at a time out of our cases by our staff and, again, any purchases will be held at the cashier until you are ready to check out. Treat this method as you would if it were your own parents estate and we all will have a wonderful, smooth opening - we don't tolerate anything less. Thanks!

WHY FOLKS LOVE OUR ESTATE SALES & FAQ's – NEWBIES PLEASE READ BEFORE CALLING:

Smitty's Estate Liquidators is one of the last “old school – on-site estate liquidation companies” in the area. We keep the sale to just a couple days instead of drawing it out over several days and slowly lowering prices a small amount each day wasting your time and the neighbors patience. We open right at 9am Day 1 and we sell all day until 3pm, prices Day 1 are firm to keep the line moving. To insure our early-birds get first chance at the treasures of their choice – we are onsite by 7:30 am to give out numbers for a nice, orderly opening at 9am. One # per person and you must be present to get a number. You can then leave and get breakfast ect and be back a few minutes before 9 to line-up. Once we are open a couple hours, you don’t need a # - just come on in and shop. WE WILL NEVER open early if all #s are not present, never pre-sell items, we don’t ship or sell online, we don’t hold items or take payment info over the phone – SIMPLY COME TO THE SALE AND GET IN LINE – IT’S THE ONLY FAIR WAY TO OPERATE A SALE. WE NEVER "SALT THE MINE" by bringing in items not original to the estate. We do not consign, sell for the estate online, we do not have a store, we do not keep remaining items to resell elsewhere, or any other nonsense - WE JUST  SELL THE GREAT ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN IN THE ESTATE FOR DECADES ON-SITE TO YOU, the rest goes to charity and we move on. We also do not give out price information prior to sale day – again, just come to the sale. Day 2 we will discount items (usually 50%) as well as make deal/pile prices for unpriced household items.  IMPORTANT – You will get a much better deal a few hours before final day close than a few minutes before closing, a good negotiation is at 11am, not 5 mins till closing. Doors are locked and our cashier & credit card machines are shut down right at stated closing time to finalize our accounting. Be sure to ALLOW PLENTY OF TRAVEL & SHOPPING TIME. In some cases when we are very busy in a full house, we may even stop allowing folks into the house BEFORE stated closing time to insure we close on time – again – PLAY IT SAFE AND COME EARLY. Our great sales run TEN HOURS each weekend – that’s plenty of time to come do some shopping. We accept CASH, CREDIT & DEBIT – sorry no checks and no returns. We also comply with all state & federal regulations - therefore we DO NOT SELL alcohol, firearms, taxidermy, outlawed materials, fireworks, ect - if you find something illegal in the house we somehow overlooked - sorry, we wont sell it to you. Most important - ESTATE SALES ARE FUN! Come smile, shop for bargains, & enjoy yourself - our wonderful, happy, regulars get GREAT DEALS! Trouble makers and poor negotiators never get the same great deals. SEE YOU ALL AT THE SALE!

6% Maryland Sales Tax Applies - *Dealer/ Tax-Exempt purchases must be accompanied by your up to date MARYLAND ONLY Sales & Use Certificate unless you are already in our system.

ALL SALES FINAL and being sold as is, as found in the estate.

Plenty of parking but please do not block driveways and be sure to treat all neighbor’s lawn with care. Early birds - please remember weekends are most folks day off - keep the noise to a minimum when waiting out front.
