There will be a 15% Buyers Premium added to the high bid to determine the selling price. Sales tax of 7% will be added to the selling price. Dealers and retailers must fill out the exemption forms in full before the close of auction.

Payment
Payments: All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auction. We accept Amex, Discover, Visa & MasterCard. You have the option to pay cash or check at pick up, if preferred. If you have not picked up within 1 hour prior to close of pick up, your credit card will be charged for your purchases, plus buyer's premiums, and any taxes. A pre-auction authorization will be performed to establish available credit. Debit cards may show a hold on funds for a short period of time. NOTHING will be charged to your card until a purchase is made. Each transaction necessary to collect insufficient funds will have a $25 fee imposed. Note: Checks may be processed the day of the auction; be sure to have adequate funds in your account.

Exemptions: To receive exemption, dealers and retailers must have filled out and submitted the exemption forms before the close of auction. Exemption forms can be emailed to lainey@theligoncompany.com.

Unpaid Balances: The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the auction company in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the auction company and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser's failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in York County, SC.

Shipping/Pick-Up
Removal: All items must be removed the day following the close of the Auction during specified times. The designated pick up time will be posted under "Dates" on our website. If you are unable to pick up during this time, please make arrangements at least 1 day prior to the close of auction.

Unless prior arrangements are made before the close of the auction, you will be charged a $25 fee to schedule an alternate pick up time. It is your responsibility to contact our office to make these arrangements.

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide adequate equipment, packing materials and manpower to remove his or her items. If assistance is required, a fee may be incurred payable to The Ligon Company. Items that have not been picked up within 5 Business Days following Auction will be considered abandoned, and no refunds will be given.

Pickups: All items MUST be picked up during specified pick up times. It is the buyer's responsibility to check all contents of the package before removing it from the premises. If you pick up at an auction location or by another arrangement it is also your responsibility to check the contents of the package in the company of a Ligon Company Employee. We will not be held responsible for damaged or missing pieces once the package is in possession of the bidder. It's your responsibility to review your purchases and their condition.

Shipping: The Ligon Company, through the United States Postal Service or United Parcel Service, can arrange packing and shipping at the buyer's expense in addition to a $10.00 handling fee. Additional fees may apply to large or heavy items. Packing and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and may be quoted before shipping. All items will be insured for the purchase price. Please contact the auction company prior to purchase for general shipping and handling information. Our first priority is to deliver your new purchase in excellent condition.

Missing Items: We document the contents of each package. If we have missed an item in your shipment our documentation will show that. Please notify us within 2 business days of receiving the package if you think something is not included. If our documentation shows it was not packed we will forward it immediately at our cost. We are not responsible for boxes opened by anyone other than the owner. Please check the entire box and packaging for contents. DO NOT discard the original shipping box and packaging if you think something is missing or damaged.

Storage: If you have a large amount of items, other charges may apply. In addition to the storage fee, the buyer is still responsible for paying labor costs to prepare your items for pickup.
