DATES: Friday, June 27 11:00am-3:00pm Saturday, June 28 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. (HALF- PRICE SALE) LOCATION: 1200 Fairview Ave. Monroe (off Park Ave.) This is the estate sale of Dr. C. Prentice Gray, Jr. and Betty Ormond Gray. (Parents of Courtland Gray, Eastland Gray, and the late Louise Gray Altick.) Dr. Gray died in 1992, and Betty is in poor health and has moved to Plano, TX with her son and daughter-in-law. Dr. C. Prentice Gray Jr. and Betty moved into 1200 Fairview in 1946 after WWII and made it their lifelong home. The home is furnished with pieces from Betty and Doc's family and items collected in their world travels over the years. Dr. Gray practiced medicine at 705 Walnut St. for over 50 years. His father practiced in the Ouachita Bank Building for over 30 years and was one of the founding physicians for St. Francis Sanatorium, now St. Francis Medical Center. Betty was active in many Monroe charitable organizations, and she helped found the Phi Mu chapter at NLU (now ULM). This home is filled with many wonderful treasures. FURNITURE: Four antique double beds in wonderful condition (sleigh, spindle, pineapple, and 4 poster), Max Wocher & Son-Cincinnati (maker of medicine cabinet used in Dr. Gray's office in 1930's), secretary, grand piano, needle point chairs, Duncan Phyfe dining table with 8 chairs with china cabinet and buffet, antique rugs, antique chests and dressers, wicker chaise lounge, mirrors, chandelier, old school desk, occasional chair with inlaid mother of pearl, etc. GLASSWARE: Crystal, Cut Glass, Waterford, American Fostoria, Limoges, Crystal stemware (some so old & fine not sure of pattern- could be Waterford or Baccarat), Belleek, Royal Tara, Fenton, Pot de Crème sets, Haviland & Co., Spode "Shoma", Franciscan Earthenware, Wheeling Decorating China (very rare), etc. KITCHEN: Serving bowls, cast iron, lots of cookbooks, stainless salad bowls, stainless kitchen utensils, freezer, baking accessories, appliances, pots & pans, lots of heavy cookware, copper, ---lots more!
