Listing Information

Beautiful "Beverly-By-The-Sea!" Built in 1899 this home featuring significant architecture has extraordinary views as it overlooks the harbor and the Great Atlantic Ocean. It also presents the best possible setting for this nautical-flavored sale by the Precision Estate Sales "Crew". The home, grand as it is, offers the perfect showcase for all the nautical themed items available for sale throughout.

Where to start? At the end of the Grand Entry Hallway that opens onto a massive porch and an incredible sea view is a collection of collections that includes vintage brass & wood telescopes and sextants, a table with a ship's bell as a functional accessory, countless, here and throughout the home, framed charts, nautical prints & pencil etchings, a collection of ships' compasses, brass & glass ship's lanterns, ship models, nautical memorabilia, brass chart holders, binoculars, glass buoys, on and on. On the back porch there's an anchor, yes an anchor, lobster pots and a sea-worn trunk of some sort. These items are found here and throughout the house, so chart a course for this sale/sail?

The collection of collections continues as shoppers move through the home, in the dining room, built-in china cabinets house an extensive collection of tea cups, vintage decorative glass and china. Also found here is an antique brass microscope. Along the Grand Hallway wainscoted walls can be found a nice collection of vintage saucers, a scrolled leg and granite topped hall table, a maple sideboard serves as a focal point with a large, framed pencil etching serving as a backdrop.

As we enter the reading room, we are met by floor to ceiling bookcases, shelved with some old classics, some sea-faring works and day to day reading, a very nice mix that may contain some vintage treasures. Here also are more of the tea cups and other small decorative items. Ship's models, side and accessory tables, vintage arm chairs awaiting a bit of refinishing and re-upholstery, a curio table stand with wood and copper base, a carved wool rug, a nice mid-century style table/desk by Drexel, an antique reading stand, more tea cup sets and a vintage clay pipe and stand set round out this space.

Now, back through the Grand Hall to the kitchen pantry that houses vintage and newer glassware, cookware, coffee grinders, china, kitchenware and accessories. The kitchen is home to a collection of salt pottery, vintage beer steins, a brass and iron vintage scale and other decorative items. Also on the first level is a greenhouse that may contain a few interesting finds.

Ahoy! All PES Shoppers report to the lower quarterdeck (basement)! Here amongst a warren of rooms is a little bit of everything from vintage glassware, pewter, copper & brass items, more salt pottery, a pot belly stove, a collection of vintage wood block planes, power & hand tools, brass props and nautical hardware, a collection of wood chairs (some may need a bit of repair), and even a picture of the Admiral!

Back on deck and on to the sleeping quarters can be found a cast iron antique Fairbanks Doctor's Scale, twin beds, side chairs and tables, countless dressers, bookcases, a golden oak four drawer file cabinet with brass hardware, books, more nautical-themed prints & etchings, a vintage doctor's bag and other medical items, a Boston Rocker, collection of record albums, luggage, linens & bedding, and a pair of milk glass lamps.

On to the third level and frankly I don't know what to say. We took pictures but have yet to stage the house for sale, so we have some digging to do. We're hoping we'll find some buried treasure and we'll let you know, maybe, if we find anything! I do know it will be fun deep sea diving for treasures at this level.

Last stop, the garage which houses lawn & garden equipment, lobster buoys, a rustic wood painted sign, bikes and bike parts, a child, maple with cast iron base school desk, a cask and more nautical hardware & bric-a-brac The PES Crew grants all PES Shoppers "Permission to Come Aboard!" this sale and is ready to serve up great customer service at this great seaside sale. See everyone at the beach on Saturday, August 2nd in Beverly (Sale Address to be published on Friday, August 1st).
