Rarely do we have the opportunity to look into a “Time Capsule” like this estate allows us to. It is apparent that this family never truly lacked financially and as a result never had the financial need to dispose of anything. With this thought in mind we are combing through the house (We have found several game tickets to the 1933 World Series.....at the height of the depression they were traveling and spending!). The heir to the estate has taken very little from this home. He is grown and has a home of his own in another State. He and his wife have furnished their home to suit their tastes. They have retained those items that are most important to them. They have decided to let the bulk of the estate sell so that new owners may enjoy these treasured objects. In keeping with Ruth and Ted Mulford’s philanthropic practices the heir and his wife have generously requested that we hold a “Charity Preview”. The preview will allow those interested to leisurely inspect all of the items in the home, ask questions about the items or simply enjoy the rare opportunity of spending an evening in a home that is reminiscent of a gentler, more elegant, time. The proceeds of the evening event will benefit a local charity that was important to the Mulfords.
