Hi everyone, 

Our next sale is of a couple who could have been the models for Norman Rockwell.  This is the estate of Jim and Peggy Box of Moriarty, NM.  Mr. Box knew everyone in the area by delivering the newspaper for over 30 years, and Mrs. Box, worked outside of the home, but together they created the American home of our past.   This loving couple had plenty of room, and love for their family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  With large home cooked meals, grandchildren sleeping over, Mr. and Mrs. Box were in their element.  These are the grandparents who send you cards all through out the year, and dollar bills on your birthday.  

As we set up the sale, finding old fashioned aprons, the smell of fresh baked pies and laughing children playing outside on the swings was ever present.  Mrs. Box had a God given natural talent for quilting and tole painting.  The quality of her painting is true American Workmanship.
