The sale contents are a combination of numerous recent Estate acquisitions from sources where on-site sales were not feasible. Nearly all of the items being offered are fresh and have never been shown before.  Many will be attractively priced with intent to appeal to dealers and private parties alike.  We will invite offers and actively bargain as the sale proceeds into Sunday and Monday.  The facility is spacious, parking is convenient on the weekend. The building is fully accessible.  Good security is in place with monitored alarm, closed circuit surveillance and alert staff.  In the pursuit of safety for all, we will keep congestion to a minimum.  Please come and enjoy yourselves.
Of special interest is a profound collection of Christian and Catholic artifacts, church decor and trappings.  The collection was assembled by a single San Francisco resident. Highlights include a 15th century French wooden bust of John the Baptist, a 17th Catalonian polychrome decorated carving of a bishop, a good South American depiction of Joseph and a French standing figure of a pope, a great assortment of 18th and 19th century vestments and altar cloths, several sterling silver and gold plated chalices and monstrances, several large pairs of wooden and bronze candelabra, amazing reliquary cabinets, two tabernacles with bronze doors, metal hanging fixtures and literally hundreds of early, interesting religious small decorative items of worship.  From the same collector is a library of approximately 15,000 18th, 19th and 20th century books and a massive selection of 4,000 DVD'S sporting titles from the 50's through the present.
A very strong assortment of fine, silver and costume jewelry is represented in this sale.  The silver offerings alone number over two thousand pieces.  There is a great collection of oversized silver artisan rings and ethic pieces including a nice egg yolk amber ring.  The fine jewelry assortment numbers over fifteen hundred items including some very large gold examples and hundreds of rings and other pieces. Also, there is a wonderful collection of vintage and contemporary fine fountain pens and mechanical pencils.
From a single collector comes a great assortment of vintage collectibles.  Examples include Venetian oriented ceramics and art work, large array of Moorish ceramics, Brayton figural jardinières, numerous Austrian cold painted metal figurines, Hawaiiana, and Alaskan tribal art, sculptural assemblies and architectural lamps.  From the same individual there are examples Black American genre art, including ephemera, banks, figurines, ceramics, table lighters, tins and numerous other items, including a golywog perfume bottle with contents intact and original box.  Please note:  Some of the imagery in this category can be challenging and could be viewed as offensive.
From a number of smaller estates there is a very broad assortment of American, Continental and Asian furniture and decorative items.  Tons of chinaware, silver and silver plate, stemware, period furniture, including a Queen Anne period Chest on Chest and a George III bureau and wall mirror. Literally fifteen hundred items in this category.
