Hi Everyone-OLE SUSANNAH'S ESTATE SALES is having a sale this weekend! DATES: Thurs. April 30th 11 a.m. - 3:00 p. m. Friday, May 1, 2015 9:00 a. m. -3:00 ** Half Price SALE ON SATURDAY May 2nd 9am-2pm!** ALL ITEMS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 2 PM ON SATURDAY!!! LOCATION: 201 Forrest Ave. Bastrop, LA (the street BEFORE Simmons Sporting goods if you're coming from the Town Square--will turn left on Forrest and go about a block. House faces Forrest and is on the corner of Wingfield Drive and Forrest. This is the estate sale of Cile and Warren Stevenson. They were married over fifty years and lived in this same house most of their married life. Warren was the President and later Chairman of the Board of the Bastrop National Bank (now Capital One). Cile worked for the School Board and administered IQ tests for the children. She was an avid golfer (some trophies back to the 1940's!) He was an avid hunter and loved to collect "wood art". You'll find all kind of carved wood treasures here. While you're in town don't forget two wonderful eating places--P.T.'s (on the square coming into town-great down "home cooking" daily specials. Slayden's Barbeque is another one of our favorites--deeelicious barbeque since the late 50's. This is our first sale in a few weeks, so we're excited to get to see all of you! Well worth the drive--beautiful antiques--some dated in the 1800's. Check out our website which will include all of the merchandise. KITCHEN: corning ware, cast iron pots (some with lids), vintage metal cookware, Pyrex, stainless flatware, cookbooks, serving bowls, salad dishes, all kind of old gadgets, small appliances, plastic & wooden lazy susans, wooden salad bowls, etc. MISCELLANEOUS: tools, vintage American Tourister luggage, lamps, luggage, records, cookbooks, books, linens, Mink coats, costume jewelry, wood carved items, years of National Geographic, vintage globes, washer & dryer, vintage Christmas items, etc. ARTWORK AND GLASSWARE: Spode China and Kent China, Fenton, Bavarian Glass, Exquisite Cut Glass, American Fostoria, retro vintage ash trays, figurines, wood carved items (even a Brown Pelican!), Norman Rockwell prints, GARDEN AND TOOLS: Concrete Fountain, statues, pots, plants, some tools, iron bench, iron table and chairs.
