We love when a customer calls inquiring about a potential liquidation! We get calls almost daily and not too many materialize but this time, was something different. We felt that we should see this estate so, we went there. We fell in love with the clients and their love for antiques. And then, more so, we fell in love when we were told that what I have seen in the house is nothing – wait ‘till you see the basement. And there was a big surprise! Lots of antique furniture still packed and shipped many years ago from Ohio where one of the spouses was born. If you love drop leaf tables, we have a couple of them one being made of oak from early 1920’s. The barrister bookcase is in nice condition and has the Grand Rapids label on the back. We found a large mahogany Federal Regency table with two pedestals which will need some TLC but it is gorgeous. Unpacking the items was the best part and now, let me give you some examples of what we found: • Few side tables dating back to 1930’s • Pair of 1930’s small wicker chairs • Mahogany drop leaf table ca. 1936 . GUNN Barrister Tiger Oak Bookcase 4 shelves. Antique Chippendale style mahogany display (one large and one bookcase) • 1960’s Italian inlaid furniture (dresser, tables, cabinet and so on) • A custom made in Beverly Hills crystal chandelier with 12 lights • Over 50 Lladro, Royal Doulton and other porcelain figurines • Maple desk with wicker back chair on wheels ca. 1940’s • Antique French dresser with marble top ca. 1870’s • Antique Berkey & Gay pair of Burled Walnut pieces – A highboy dresser and a commode • Vintage and contemporary needle point chairs • A twin and a queen bed with beautiful metal headboards • Couple of 4 sets each of vintage upholstered dining chairs • Vintage heavy pedestal table with round glass top • Large antique brass bowl and fireplace utensils • Antique gilded oval mirror • Set of 4 Rococo Revival chairs (ca. 1860’s) • Gorgeous Tiffany replica fireplace screen • Art prints • Lots of contemporary mirrors • Mahogany fireplace mantle • Lots of patio furniture including bistro set, umbrellas, concrete benches, planters, brand new redwood table and many more • Couple of wrought iron glass breakfast tables with chairs • A beautiful vintage stroller and a bassinette • And many more, this is just a peak! • Since not everything had room inside the house, don’t forget to check the back patio and the garage where we have a lot of antiques. And before we forget, if you are looking to buy new French doors for your home, stop by and see what we have. Brand new, never used and waiting for a lovely home to buy them. You can imagine why we call it Eclectic Mix Antiques and Contemporary estate. The beauty of designing your home with antique and vintage furniture, American and Italian made, can be seen only if you come over to see it. And on top of it, everything must be sold. And all are priced to sell! So come on over and take a peak and we promise you, you will love what you will find. |
