This is not your typical estate sale full of smalls, glassware, linens, etc. We consider this sale a bit "unique" as it really is all about a 45 year professional involvement in photography and the arts. Jerome K. Muller, a noted photographer, painter, art director and designer is selling the last of his inventory and personal belongings. Muller won numerous awards for his photography (cityscapes, character studies and environmental portraits) and was the former editor and art director of several national and regional magazines. His black and white photographs of New York City (midtown Manhattan and Long Island) in the '50's were reviewed as "gritty realism with a professional portrait look." Represented by a number of West Coast Galleries Mr. Muller had solo exhibitions at University of California Irvine, Portland State University, Newport Beach Public Library and the Robert Mondavi Wine and Food Center to name a few. There are many wonderful pieces of his work that will be available as well as his personal memorabilia, works of other photographers, and reference materials that he used and collected over the years. • Authentic French Le Verrier bronze statue by Pierre Le Faguays. Art Deco flapper dancer signed Fayral (his pseudonym) to the base and numbered 12/100 • Tribal artifacts • Guru Tribe Ivory Coast West Africian Ceremonial Mask • Artisit and framing supplies, drafting table, tools, lighting • Books • Household furniture including washer/dryer/refrigerator • Large quantity of beautifully reproduced black and white 5"x7" photographic note cards featuring Jerry Muller's famous Manhattan Suite (10 images 1950-54), Long Island Suite (5 images 1951-55) and California Suite (5 images 1995-03) We are in the initial stages of preparing this sale.
