Rare Antique E. INGRAHAM & CO. Figure 8 Mantel Clock. This Clock is Signed and in excellent running condition. The Clock Features: A Figure 8 "A Frame" Oak Case, Signed mechanical 30 hour movement, original interior paper label, Fantastic Reverse Painted tablet, and brass locking door. The interior label is in nice condition for the age of this clock. It is the Civil War Era "Doric" Model that was made only from 1860 - 1878. In the photos you will see the model patent dates on the label. The Oak Case is in Great Condition with a beautiful grain. You can tell the clock was well cared for. There is a faint ding above the pan dial. The red reverse painted tablet is original and in nice condition with very light wear. The door opens and closes and locks and unlocks with no problems.You can really see the age on this clock form the back.The movement is tested and running strong! It is signed and counts the hours on the hour with a Gong. The pan dial has some wear including a pen mark near the Roman Numeral "5". The screws for the dial are a little loose. It does not have a key, however it was able to be wound with a universal key. It has the original brass pendulum. Case measures: 16" TALL X 9" WIDE X 4 1/4" DEEP. Please see photos. 3. Incredibly Rare 1905 White Star Line`s S.S. Cymric First Class Dinner Menu. Pre-Dating the launch of the infamous Titanic. This is a rare piece of memorabilia. Please see photos for condition...SS Cymric was a steamship of the White Star Line built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast and launched on 12 October 1897. She had originally been designed as a combination passenger liner and livestock carrier, with accommodations for only First Class passengers. During the stages of her design layout, it became clearer to the designers at Harland and Wolff that combining passengers and livestock had become rather unpopular, so the spaces designated for cattle were reconfigured into Third Class accommodations. She departed Liverpool on her maiden voyage on 29 April 1898, arriving in New York City on 9 May 1898. She spent the first five years of her career on the White Star Line's main passenger service route between Liverpool and New York, until 1903 when she was transferred to the less traveled Liverpool-Boston route, which she sailed on for nine years before being returned to the Liverpool route in 1912. During both the Boer War and the First World War she was pressed into service as a troop transport. On 8 May 1916 she was torpedoed three times by Walther Schwieger's U-20, which had sunk RMS Lusitania a year earlier.[1] Cymric sank the next day, killing five people on board, 140 miles northwest of Fastnet.[2] While the general location of the wreck of the Cymric is known, the wreck has not been found. 33. Antique & Original Wood Mandolin Bowlback with Mother of Pearl Butterfly Design and Carrying Case From The Late 1800's or Early 1900's This is an old classic antique wood mandolin. I don't see a makers name on it so I did some research and found that in the late 1800`s and early 1900`s there were 100`s of mandolin makers especially from Italy. This mandolin is very close in style and could have been made by Antonio Grauso from Naples. The mandolin is in very good condition especially for it's age. The wood is in nice shape. The neck, frets, tuners, bridge, face and back are all in very good condition. Some of the inlay is missing from the binding on the bottom of the guitar. The sound hole and pick-guard butterfly design are trimmed in mother of pearl or abalone. The pick-guard is coming lose. Three strings are missing. The mandolin measures approximately 24 1/2" long. The original carrying case included is in fair condition and will need new leather hinges. This mandolin is 100% original.
