Listing Information

I've been conducting Estate Sales for many years now, and have had the pleasure of seeing some of the most beautiful homes filled with the most beautiful things. But, never have I seen a home quite like this. For decades this couple dreamed of owning an Antique Store in their retirement, so for decades they acquired from every possible antique and collectible category. For decades, they stocked cabinet after cabinet throughout the house, overflowing onto the floor, piled on top of every flat surface in the home, shoved in every drawer and closet. Regardless of what you collect or what you normally buy.....I can promise you there will be something here for you. Walking into the Dining Room to your right, you will see a cabinet full of Cut Crystal, much of it American Brilliant Period. On another wall, a cabinet full of gilded porcelain by Pickard and Stouffer.....with Wheeling "Weeping Gold" mixed in for good measure. Miscellaneous candlesticks, prism decorated lamps and lead crystal bowls and vases abound. Don't miss seeing the rare pair of Art Deco prism decorated lamps that look like waterfalls. You will think "How can so much be in one room?" and "Why didn't they move some of this to another room?". And then you will turn and peer into the Living Room.......more gilded porcelain, more prism decorated lamps, painted porcelain, vanity items, great small pieces of antique furniture, antique prints....you are overwhelmed. Until you realize every single room in the house is packed. Every single room has cabinets much like an antique mall would....and they are all packed. You call your husband / wife / fiancé / partner / roommate and tell them you are going to be there for awhile....maybe even ALL DAY! The Den is too crowded, so you head for the kitchen. This kitchen isn't like a typical kitchen. Fiesta, Fostoria, Depression glass (a HUGE cabinet full of it just off the kitchen). A vintage two-slot peanut machine. A huge collection of domed anniversary clocks cover the breakfast table...and MORE gilded porcelain!! A vintage standing bird cage. Czechoslovakian birds. Plaster statues. Iron trivets. Someone tells you to go into the bedroom off the kitchen. There is a cabinet full of Carnival Glass, there are primitives.....by now you are in overload. Back in the Den, you see what all the excitement is about. Cabinets of painted porcelain, stacks of rugs, an entire wall of Black Glass everything! You see Mid-Century McCoy in pastel colors, even that amazing Alabaster Chandelier hanging from the ceiling is for sale......You ask yourself "Where could I hang that?". Of course you want it.....YOU WANT IT ALL! The walls of the hallway are lined with vintage and antique artwork. Mirrors!! The bathroom is packed with vanity items.......love that purple glass lamp in the dressing area! The front bedroom.....Dolls, Indian Collectibles, EVERYTHING Celluloid ever made......it just goes on and on! The middle bedroom.....packed.....oil lamps, regular sized and miniature......Lincoln Drape.....Wow! Love the lamp of the woman in pink on the dresser. The back bedroom......more cases of painted porcelain and vanity.......where did they find it all? Crazy about that large porcelain hydrangea blossom that lights up for a vanity night light!! So difficult to prioritize when you literally want to LIVE in EVERY room! There is no way to describe this sale....but whatever you do....don't miss seeing the near mint 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster with Original Motor parked out front.....and, it's for sale. Just large enough to pack up all your goodies from this “day in heaven" that you will never forget!! Can't wait to see your faces......my mouth is still open from the first time I saw it all!!!!! Wear comfortable shoes and bring your good glasses......and maybe pack a lunch......see you there!!
