With the wings down, 2 chairs made a perfect breakfast set. Pull out the gate legs, raise the wings and this becomes a soaring dinning room table. Matching chairs carrying the same great Art Deco design sit around this table perfectly. One chair is a captains chair with arms. The craftsmanship of the set (all sold separately) certainly seems to have a German influence, as were many of the great architects and furniture Designers of this time. A Very Good table set! 57. This is the item in old homes that would hold the ironstone wash basin and pitcher in a common area in the home. Approx c1910. The oak wood is solid as is the entire piece.
