Listing Information

Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-4 just down the street at 4919 Hollycrest Way we’ll be emptying an entire home of books, appliances, fine art and collectibles, furniture, teak galore and everything from an entire set of Cutco knives to perfume bottles and crystal decanters. Well worth the effort and everything will be priced to sell including a near new set of outdoor patio furniture of great quality and beautiful upholstery.

Paul and Catherine (Katie) came to California from far away; Paul grew up in Schenectady New York and Katie hailed from Minnesota.

Paul came out to be near his brother who had come to Sacramento before him. He studied engineering and got both bachelors and masters degrees in chemical engineering from Northwestern in his 30s.

He worked at Aerojet for quite a while and then went back to school studying law and getting his degree in the 60s. After that feat Paul got a job working for the franchise tax board and was a lawyer for them until he retired.

Katie on the other hand taught middle school and was the Home Ec teacher until she retired.

Both Paul and Katie enjoyed travel and went all over Europe especially loving and concentrating on England, Scotland, Greece and Ireland.

Paul’s love for history and the history of war shows in the vast library of wonderful books on all subject matters from hunting and fishing, to travel and photography.

Paul and Katie’s lovely niece even recounted several trips out to go skeet-shooting with her uncle and also joined him from time to time for target practice.

This is a very loved couple and we are excited to be able to invite you to their home to shop from everything from Cutco knives (nearly an entire set) to walnut, teak and oak furniture, vintage clothing and artwork, dishes, patio sets, and so much more.
