Listing Information

Golden Opportunity Estate Sale Friday Saturday

401 41st Street Sacramento Ca 95819
This is one of the most well-rounded and exciting collections we have purged in years. Beginning Friday from 9am-6pm and continuing Saturday half price 9am-4pm

About the folks who lived here:

Louise Vernon Craig was raised in Ahoskie North Carolina. After serving in WWII in the Pacific, he relocated to Sacramento to work as a truck driver for Cal Trans, where he moved heavy equipment and worked for 35 years.. He met beautiful Julia who hailed from Stockton California, here and they married soon thereafter. Julia had worked for years in the canneries in Stockton and when they moved here, she got a better job working for the Bureau of Statistics.
Lou was always known as the unofficial “Mayor of East Sac” due to his knowledge about everything and everyone around the area.

He was known for driving, tinkering with and loving his rare and seldom seen Hupmobile.

Julia enjoyed painting, art and the senior craft center.

She passed at a ripe and healthy 92 while Lou made it to 93 years young.
They had bought the home we are having the sale in back in 1940 for a whopping $2,500.

Come celebrate the lives of Julia and Lou on this two day sale at their home in East Sacramento which will be for sale once we remove the items for sale.

The house holds generations of collectibles and antiques from the Victorian era on up through the 60s. Clothes, ephemera, lps, books, jewelry, tokens, advertising, signs, tools, farm implements, car parts, sewing items, linens, brass, bronze, copper, silver, artwork, kitchenware, pottery, glass, pewter, oak, mirrors, military, animal goods, furs, hats, and anything else someone might hoard away for years in the attic!

We hope you will join us for this wonderful delight of an eclectic sale with everything from vintage clothes, jewelry, dishware, pottery and linens, to tools, advertising, ephemera, lps and books. This is going to be one fun weekend!
