 A Word From The Family:

For forty-four years this was the treasured home of our family. For the last thirty years the sole resident was our mother. This home began as a contemporary house decorated in the colors and styles that were popular fifty years ago with the inside carpentry completed by our father. Over the years the home was transformed into a haven for antiques and collectibles. It was a collaboration of our mother and father. Although our father held an executive position, reupholstered Victorian furniture in period correct fabrics and colors, caned chairs and made draperies. Many pieces were restored by both of them. As you may imagine it took many years of collecting and saving to turn the house into what it is now. After our father passed thirty years ago, antiquing and collecting became our mother’s passion. She sold some of her collection at antique shows but always collected more then she sold. Each piece, every tiny item was treasured. She saw value in the pieces transcending their monetary worth. When she could no longer leave her home, she found refuge in the history and sheer beauty everything held for her. She passed this May at the age of ninety. May each piece, no matter how small, find its way eventually to someone who will treasure it in the same way our mother did.
