His name was Jim. His family has furnished the following information for you.

James Underwood was born in Waverly, KS November 24, 1934
Jim relocated to Nevada City, CA with his family when he was 3 and graduated from Nevada City High School in 1952. After serving in the U.S. Marines and Air Force reserve Jim had a long career in law enforcement. He began his career in 1956 as a correctional officer at Folsom prison before joining Sacramento County Sheriff’s Dept. as a deputy in 1961. Jim retired as a Lieutenant in 1989. During his retirement years Jim enjoyed traveling in his 5th wheel, listening to music, going to garage sales and spending time with his family and friends. Jim loved his animals and left behind 3 cats and 2 dogs. His sense of humor and kindness touched those who knew him and he will be sadly missed.
Jim was a regular blood donor who had donated thousands of quarts of blood over the last 60 years. Even at the end he had donated his tissue. So in my heart I know he is still around in others.
Lovingly penned by daughter Lynn

We are happy to be able to assist this family with emptying their late father’s home so that they may sell the house asap. This home is a joyful house; full of love and happiness at every corner. Just spending time there is a blessing and the entire crew welcomes you with open arms to share some time with us there.

Known as a bit of a hoarder, Jim had vast interests from tinkering to fiddling around with things in the garage, his office, the den and also around the yard. There is hardly a spare counter or cupboard that is not filled with something fun and wonderful. His loves ranged from quirky to somewhat hilarious.
We like working on sales like this one. It is fitting that this is our last scheduled sale before our big trip to St. Louis to attend Estate Sales Nets Estate Sale Conference.
The three of us ladies are looking forward not only to a few days off (we’ll be back to work as usual the weekend of the 30th) but also we are excited to do a little sight seeing and get a grasp of what goes on in that part of the country.

Thanks again for your patronage and also the read.
