Listing Information
This delightful couple is leaving their spotless split-level home behind and beginning a new life. We have one day to liquidate as much as possible of their possessions, so you know the prices will be amazing! Left behind is a variety of contemporary furniture in the light neutral color scheme preferred by the homeowners, some of the gentleman's extensive collection of baseball memorabilia including a large collection of cards going back to the '70s, and vintage workshop items including a handmade pine workbench and a turn-of-the-century Stanley roll-front wooden tool chest full of vintage hand tools.
Living room: Large U-shaped sectional sofa, serpentine metal lamp, oil painting by Lee Reynolds, and an amazing coffee table whose base is a trio of stone spheres with a glass top.
Dining room: Table and six chairs, matching sideboard, and a commanding oval mirror with a pale stone frame, very heavy and gorgeous. Small items include a set of Studio Nova china, as well as a variety of glassware.
Miscellaneous: Assorted clothing including a wedding dress and a tuxedo, as well as a variety of gentleman's accessories.
Bedroom 1: Queen size bed, Lane cedar-lined chest with piano black finish, bamboo nightstand, lamp, side table with seashell top, and a large armoire.
Bedroom 2: Queen size bed with cane headboard topped with finials.
Family room: Dark blue sectional, arched curio cabinet, Casio stereo, and the baseball collection which includes assorted Sports Impressions porcelain figurines, a Danbury Mint Mickey Mantle card replica display featuring shield-shaped rack in Yankee pinstripes, and a dozen classic Mickey Mantle trading cards, all rendered in porcelain. A signed Reggie Jackson Oakland A's jersey. Card collection. Select programs and picture packs from the '50s through the '70s. Pennants, posters, cereal boxes, a full set of Mac & Cheese boxes with trading cards on the back of the box, artwork and much more. Several signed pieces with certificates of authenticity including Don Mattingly.
Garage: Set of patio furniture including oblong table, six green striped chairs, small side table, umbrella and covers for all pieces. Handmade pine workbench, we think 1930s or older. Pine trunk. The star of the show: Vintage Stanley wooden roll-front tool chest, all original, with removal drawer and built-in tool hangers, full of vintage hand tools and a 1943 Stanley tool catalogue. Beautiful, in excellent condition, roll-front works, the tools inside are in good condition, even the catalogue is in good condition. This toolbox will not go cheap!
