  • Mr. Harry Hosford had a Great Lakes Freighter named after him in the early 1900's. Grouping includes, Photos, Painted Tin, Misc Documents.
  • An Original Wooden Sign from the Ship. It was originally the F.B. Squire in 1906, then renamed The Harry Hosford in 1936. This sign has Both Names!!

Auctioneer's Briefing: This is the Estate of Dolores Hosford (dec.) She was married to the Late Harry Hosford. Mr. Hosford was a part of the prominent Hosford Family in Ohio. Harry Hosford Sr was a multi-millionaire in the 30-40's. Even having a ship named after him, and was well known for his philanthropy work; even being on the cover of Time Magazine!! His Great-Aunt worked closely with President Woodrow Wilson. Much of their family heritage, Harry Jr. had preserved and will be sold in this Auction. Harry Hosford Sr was a multi-millionaire in the 30-40's. Even having a ship named after him, and was well known for his philanthropy work; even being on the cover of Time Magazine!! His Great-Aunt worked closely with President Woodrow Wilson. Much of their family heritage, Harry Jr. had preserved and will be sold in this Auction.
