Auction Fundraiser to Benefit the Paul Robeson House and Museum

Come out to show your support and bid on holiday gifts and other items at the Paul Robeson House and Museum’s Auction Fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017. The auction will be held at the house, 4951 Walnut Street. It will be conducted by Unique Vintique Auction & Estate Sales, along with auctioneer Rodney Graham. You can preview the items an hour before the auction starts.

Items to be auctioned include holiday gift items, jewelry, household goods, clothing, artwork, glassware, collectibles/keepsakes, records, books, and more.

The auction will benefit the Paul Robeson House and Museum, the last place where Robeson - an actor, social activist, singer, football star and orator – lived with his sister for 10 years before his death in 1976. The house was renovated as a space for community and cultural events, many of which are regularly held there. Two floors contain an exhibit chronicling Robeson’s life, allowing visitors to walk in the footsteps of the man who was called “the tallest tree in the forest.”

The auction fundraiser will also include an online “Hello Dolly Tea Party,” which will be conducted this month. Lovely porcelain dolls along with vintage teapots and cups/saucers along with some of the proceeds donated to the Robeson House will be up for auction at https://bidlive.UniqueVintique.com starting November 13 through December 1.
