HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We're back and looking forward to another great year of bringing you more wonderful treasures! This week we are in Lake Highlands in a lovely two-story home. A former teacher always has wonderful learning and teaching material. No exceptions here! Lots of books and workbooks about math, reading, nature and the list goes on. There are office supplies, including the old reliable IBM Selectric typewriter. You can also find arts and crafts supplies! Speaking of books, there is something here for every age. Even a few books by Laura Ingalls Wilder! Throughout the house you can find original art, lithographs, prints and great tapestries hanging about. A great assortment of decorative items are waiting on bookshelves, end tables, coffee tables just waiting on you to take them to their new home. You can find Asian themed decoratives, vintage ashtrays, wicker containers. Don’t overlook the gorgeous Santini sculptures Looking for just the right piece of furniture to blend with your current décor? A sofa? A lamp? How about a great coffee table? How about an Ivers & Pond piano? This is furniture that makes you feel at home…..all warm and fuzzy. Speaking of lamps, there are lamps of all shapes and sizes; some with really cool shades! Some aren’t lamps at all, they’re beautiful chandeliers. There is a twin brass bed, an electric adjustable bed with rails also twin, dressers, chests and an overstuffed chaise lounge covered in a champagne colored fabric. If you are a backgammon player, you must see the Lane game table. It folds out to reveal a built-in backgammon board! Electronics include a Wollensak reel to reel recorder, an 8mm movie projector, a film splicer even a Ross Electronics 8-track player and speakers! What a deal!! The kitchen holds an assortment of small appliances, utensils and knives of every shape and size. In this garage, however, you can find more than just tools. There are wheelchairs, shower chairs and other assorted durable medical equipment. You will find bicycles, golf clubs, luggage and a great Black and Decker 8” table saw. There is a collection of seashells and sand from beaches all over. A Garco “Take Along” grill is perfect for those camping trips or tailgate parties. With the weather doing such crazy things, you might want to take home the vintage Paris Champion Fastback sled. When it snows, you’ll be the most popular kid on the block!
