If you DO have a valid resale certificate, then PLEASE bring your certificate and paperwork to show us........OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED SALES TAX !! We verify certificates ON SITE (on smart phone) at the State Board of Equalization website !!!! Any estate seller who is NOT charging, and remitting, sales tax to the state of CA, is breaking the law. *** PLEASE NOTICE.......We hand out numbers 1 hour prior to the opening of the sale to those who are PHYSICALLY IN LINE. If you chose to place a marker to hold a place in line before numbers, then you MUST stay around the property to watch over your marker. The estate sale staff is NOT AT ALL respondsible for unattended markers or if you are NOT there when we hand out numbers. PAYMENTS: Cash Personal checks Credit cards accepted over $25((under $100 there is a $2 bank service fee)) EVERYTHING will be sold......."AS IS" & "WHERE IS" and that's how we sell it.....(did you see how I did that?) There are NO returns so PLEASE.......look over your purchases carefully BEFORE buying. Please inspect your purchases BEFORE buying.......there are NO RETURNS for any reason. Once it leaves the house, it does not come back !! NOTHING will be pre-sold !! Everything you see in the photos is what is at the sale !! (( unless the family decided to keep something at the last minute, after all, it is their stuff )) You MUST bring your own truck, tools & help......we DO NOT help you remove large items. WELCOME FRIENDS & SHOPPERS !! We have a very cool estate sale for you.....this one is from an old Vaudeville, Circus & Hollywood family that has memorabilia. This sale also features LOTS of vintage costume jewelry......I mean LOTS !! The history of this house began when the homeowner's parents came to America from Italy. They were a ballet team and he, a maestro of LA Scala Opera House Ballet. They joined the Christiani Brothers circus to get to America! Travelling with steamer trunks full of costumes and music scores, they arrived in New York in the late 1800's. They travelled the country teaching, performing and conducting ballets. Following in his father's footsteps, excuse the pun, Ernesto was teaching ballet on Hollywood Blvd. when he met a dancer who became his wife. Ernesto and Talia combined the ballet with the popular Latin dances of the 1930's and 1940's. They travelled in vaudeville acts across the country, once again putting to use those steamer trucks. They worked in hundreds of movies with many stars like Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire etc., then later TV shows. On a movie set working the Gene Kelly, Ernesto hurt his knee and had to give up dancing. (There were no knee replacements in 1949.) He taught himself to play and write music and used the accordion as an instrument he could take anywhere. Thus began the journey with the accordion. They operated a music and dance studio for years and continued to be in TV and movies. Besides the Hollywood, Circus and Vaudeville memorabilia, there is lots more to choose from in this house.
