Multi-Estate Fine Art & Antique Auction: Monday, 18 June, 2018
Kensington Estate Auctions will offer a diverse array of art, antiques and collectables on Monday, 18 June @ 7:00pm EST. On-line live bidding will occur on Liveauctioneers.com and Invaluable.com. Live, phone and left bids are welcome. Live bidding has begun.
A collection of American, European and Asian art from the 18th -21st centuries will be offered. Artists will include Heinrich Lefler, Peter Max, Maurice Sendak, Philip Jamison, Frederick Massa, James Rosenquist, Paul Blanca, Alfred Statler, David Shapiro, Beni Montresor, William Steig, Colette Raker, Edmond Zeiger and more.
Highlighted will be original storyboard illustrations: Superman DC Comic, Mad Magazine, and an original 1930s Walt Disney Pinocchio production drawing.
Buyers will not want to miss the collection of hand-written letters by Norman Rockwell, the diva Renalta Tebaldi, Arthur Rackham, Timothy Cole, Ingrid Bergman, Charles Dana Gibson, Maxfield Parrish and others.
Special for the connoisseur of erotic art are “The White Books”. These books contain original erotic watercolors with illuminated calligraphy poetry and text.
An early American Indian Navajo rug, several Sioux war clubs, woven Indian baskets and Indian watercolors by the Santa Fe artist George Stanley will be sold.
Chinese representation will include original Mao-era political posters and sculptures. Tibetan paintings and sculptures as well as Anglo-Indian Mughal enameled portrait objects are included.
Two 19th century violins will be available, from France by Nicholas Duchene and a German Hopf.
Other outstanding items include Hindu Temple sculptures, diamond earrings, Tiffany, large collection of first edition books, an array of ceramics and more.
