Hi Everyone, We are excited to be back in West Seattle (where it all began) for a huge sale this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13, 14 and 15. This house is packed to the hilt with 50+ years accumulation of furniture and contents including a large selection of vintage glassware. As collectors, travelers and hosts, there are interesting souvenirs from all around the world, the USA and cool things they found hunting locally. Please go to (http://www.estatesales.net/estate-sales/500934.aspx) for photos. !! !!The Address is 6343 38th Ave. SW, Seattle 98126!!!! GLASSWARE and CHINA: The lady of the house was a dealer in vintage glassware. Here is your opportunity to choose from shelves and shelves of collectible glassware and maybe even find that replacement piece. This includes stemware, vases, serving dishes and compotes from Candlewick, Hocking (lots of blue bubble pieces), Red bubble Anchor Hocking, Fenton, Fostoria, Libby, Jeanette Diamond Point, Imperial and lots of milk glass. Break out the MM’s because there are dozens of candy jars from which to choose! There is a nice set of Royal Bavarian China and a large selection of English cups and saucers. POTTERY: We have quite a few pieces of pottery including some Redwing and McCoy Cookie Jars, a set of Vernon Kilns dinnerware, and a selection of pottery birds. There are also loads of commemorative plates in many categories (religious, floral, birds and holiday). COLLECTIBLES: There are cases of collectibles filled with miscellaneous smalls and costume jewelry. We also have early postcards, vintage stuffed animals and a massive Christmas collection (only three months away). The gentleman of the house was in the advertising business for many years so there are lots of knick knacks bearing local business – especially McClendon’s Hardware and Seafirst Bank. And if that’s not enough – Ding Dong – it’s Avon calling for you to come and select from the hundreds of bottles of perfume, cologne and misc. in every shape and theme – perfect for the men and women who has everything – except for a mini thermos of cologne, or a car or a lady or……wow – every theme under the sun (we even have the sun!). KITCHEN AND APPLIANCES: There is so many kitchen items and so many cookbooks that some of it is in the basement! There is a nice assortment of canning jars (come early for the blue ones – they go fast) utensils, pots and pans, Tupperware and cookbooks from many eras. Most notable is a large selection of desirable aluminum ware. CLOTHING: There are a few pieces of women’s vintage dresses - XXL and a nice array of men’s hats and clothing size L. FURNITURE: There is all sorts of furniture throughout the house! The China hutch has lots of storage space and sliding glass doors, the dining room table is a drop leaf 60’s piece with two chairs, lots of miscellaneous chairs, an upright piano by Wick, a nice early children’s school table and a brand new yet classic wood hutch and matching rocking chair with decorative white inlay. A Mid Century bedroom set (full bed, side cabinet and chest of drawers), a full waterfall bedframe and matching vanity w/mirror, a brightly red painted vintage full bed with matching dresser and mini dresser. There are also lots of book cases that are filled with books so pick-up will need to be arranged. ART/Ephemera: There are many many loose prints and posters from different eras in all categories. Still going through it – too much to mention! BOOKS: The book collection here is extensive – might be the most we’ve seen. Some of them are from the 1800ds… and up until the present. Lots about collectibles, war, poetry, etiquette, fiction, history, gardening, religion, birds, geography, and 100+ cookbooks alone. SEWING: There is lots of fabric (some are in bolts), buttons and sewing notions. There are three sewing machines, one is an early piece by White, another is a vintage Singer and the modern one is by Viking. Lots of clothing patterns, dozens of needlepoint rings, boxes of needlepoint kits, and tons of other art’s and craft’s pamphlets and materials. OFFICE: The vintage office desk is a large oak piece with some ware. There are lots of vintage misc. office accessories and a small black desk. LINENS: Many of the table clothes are fabulous floral and holiday prints including a huge round Vera floral tablecloth. GARDEN: Come and get some tools to spruce up your yard and garbage cans to boot. The pedestal water fountain is in great condition with a working pump and in the bird motif. The vintage metal table needs some TLC and an umbrella. There are lots of gardening books too! MISC: We have a rare German Flag that will be shown only upon request. TOOLS: The outdoor detached garage is filled with general household carpentry tools and some vintage tools along with a white enameled advertising peg board and a carpenter’s tool box.
