Listing Information
What better Christmas decoration can you have for your home or business than this antique (c. 1900) horse drawn sleigh in very good condition.  The sleigh was purchased about 20 years ago near Columbus, IN at an estate sale of former Indiana Governor (1913-1917) and U.S. Senator Samuel Moffet Ralston (1857-1925).  The buyer (current owner) was told the sleigh once belonged to Gov. Ralston and he had it displayed during the Christmas holidays in the capitol rotunda during and subsequent to his tenure as Governor.
For the past 20 years the current has kept the sleigh stored in his house in a climate controlled environment. The sleigh is thought to be custom built but also resembles a the Portland Cutter sleigh design.
The owner says it's time someone else enjoys the sleigh, thus it is being offered for sale via online only auction.
