SALE STARTS AT 8AM SAT

10 AM SUNDAY

Barlow Guildhouse is a non-profit gift shop and gallery dedicated to funding solutions for Barlow Respiratory Hospital’s patient needs and comfort.

The Guildhouse was begun as an annual Christmas Bazaar in 1960 and opened as a brick-and-mortar store in 1975 by a dedicated team of Barlow Respiratory Hospital physicians, nurses, staff and ex-patients who painstakingly converted an old 20-room dormitory.

The Guildhouse was the brainchild of Dr. Arnold Freed and his wife, Margaret Freed (98 years old), who has run the store with the help of family since Dr. Freed’s passing.

Barlow Respiratory Hospital is sorely in need of updated facilities and will soon begin construction on a new hospital.  As the best site for the new building is exactly where the Guildhouse now sits, the store unfortunately needs to close to allow construction to begin.
