The auctioneer will be the final judge as to which bidder is the highest bidder. In the event of any dispute in this matter, the auctioneer shall, at his or her discretion decide whether to reopen the bidding.

Title to all merchandise shall pass to the highest bidder and the fall of the auctioneers’ "hammer". The purchaser shall assume full risk and responsibility for the lot purchased once title has passed.

All items purchased on the Live Auctioneers platform must be paid for in 6 days from the date of sale, unless prior arrangements have been made with Hudson Valley Auctioneers a dispute will be filed after that period, claims to unpaid items are void and the gallery will have full title & claim to these items in order to resell them at auction. In the event of a filed dispute the bidder will have 7 days to contact and arrange payment of winning bids before the dispute becomes permanent and the items re-offered.

All lots must be removed at the buyer's expense within 10 business days of the sale, after that period all lots are subject to a storage fee of $10.00 per lot, per day, unless prior arrangements have been made. Hudson Valley Auctioneers reserves the right to dispose of purchased lots if the cost of accumulated storage fees exceeds its sale price.

All bidders are required to register and give full identification prior to the beginning of the auction and are required to use the number issued to them when identifying themselves as the successful bidder.

Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any property prior to auction.

This is a privately owned & operated sale and we reserve the right to refuse admittance to any person.

No transfer will be recognized from one buyer to another.

All sales are subject to a 25% buyer’s premium.

Hudson Valley Auctioneers located at 432 Main Street Beacon, New York  will present a summer's end multi estate auction on Monday August 26th at 5:00 PM.  The auction includes the remaining contents of the estate of an Albany collector, an old Peekskill NY estate and additional consignments from several long time associates in a public sale of approximately 250 fresh to the market unreserved lots.

Deviating from our past bidding process this sale will offer only online bidding through Liveauctioneers.com, absentee and phone bids. In house gallery bidding will be permitted but not encouraged as construction is ongoing in the main gallery seating area.

 The sale features approximately 100 pieces of art and includes works by Salvador Dali, Charles Phelan, James Emery Greer, Gary Kapp, George Bowman, John Hare, Jacob Greenleaf, Sven O. Carlson, William Emerson, Charles Bilger Spalding, Vindfeldt Hansen, Harold T. Holden, Jerome Howes, Ben Pauleskas, Joseph Rimini, John Bartok, Kawase Hasui, John Loughlin, Joseph Newman, F. Myron Mark, Alice Winter, Helen Rundell, Doc Tate Nevaquaya and many others.

  Chinese and Asian artifacts are in the mix including two early garden seats, several Chinese porcelain vases, bronze Buddha’s and sensor, woodblocks and watercolors, and a large selection of quality Chinese rosewood and teak inlaid furniture. Several pieces of antique Indonesian and Indian furniture from a Hudson NY estate will also be offered.

   The Peekskill estate was a snapshot of 1990's collecting in the local antiques village of Cold Spring with 25 pieces refinished oak furniture including several china closets, tables, sets of chairs and an excellent 19th workbench. Various bronzes, a very large .800 silver service, collection portrait miniatures including Anna Brewster Richards, several iron sculpture stands, Moorcroft

pottery, a Mid Century Tile City-Scape collage by Harris Strong and American period furniture are some examples of the diversity in this sale.

Noteworthy is a Theodore Alexander Althorp Patent Jupe Table, a round expansion dining room table in mahogany.
