Several richly designed wool area rugs surround a pair of modern high-backed tufted settees in midnight linen, and a contemporary glass and iron oval coffee table fill the great room. An oversized Roseville pottery urn sits above a granite top Sabonette demi console table, and a stately round wall mirror with a broad black and gilt elephant-themed frame is flanked by a tall pair of patinated metal and brass lamps. A handsome red leather vintage club chair with nail head trim and tufted back is a focal point in any room and a home for one of the many large, fine textile décor pillows and well-crafted throws. A stunning antique style fluted and carved buffet/credenza adds richness and storage. Large grey stone filled with polished fossils, a selection of colorful art glass pieces both decorative and useful, an intriguing hand painted textile of Buddhist iconography floated in a gilt frame, a pair of terracotta Ganesha statues, a set of wood carved Chinese religious and folklore figures, a pair of stuffed pheasants, handmade and painted gourd and pottery pieces peppered throughout the living spaces, a large, scale model of the Titanic, and a vintage Rock-Ola “Princess” jukebox filled with vintage, Country Western, and R&B 45s.

Vintage and antique clocks abound - a Seth Thomas mantle clock in rosewood case, an American Sessions regulator wall clock, and an antique Jerome and Co. shelf clock with charming eglomise glass door. Interesting musical instruments range from a vintage cello, and a vintage violin with bow and case, a small antique German “Harmony” accordion, and an Andrew Kohler spinet piano.

In the master bedroom a contemporary styled sleigh bed in walnut finish bedecked with coordinating decorative bedclothes is flanked by a pair of Restoration Hardware solid wood/cedar-lined night tables. Finishing touches include a beautifully feminine caned settee, a grand oval cheval dressing mirror, and a pair of tall gilt leaf motif table lamps.

Other worthy home furnishings include a trestle style extendable wood dining table with 6 cane back chairs, an oversized taupe upholstered bench with heavy iron scrollwork base, a selection of coffee tables and numerous pairs of end tables, a Thomasville 5 piece bedroom set in distressed ivory with lemon yellow trim – lovely Provincial style, a wide selection of wall mirrors, a king sized wooden headboard in an open-work design, a queen sized, Mission style futon covered in a pale gold textured damask, a varied selection of table and task lights in many styles, a drop leaf oak tea trolley with a removable serving tray, a vintage low profile sofa in cinnamon velour, and several lovely, pristine upholstered chairs in styles from wingback to fauteuil.

Framed art abounds! Too many selections to display on the walls - still lifes, landscapes, city scenes, portraits - in varied styles and sizes, from great decorative pieces to fine oil on canvas pieces by recognized artists.

Appointing an office? See the contemporary frosted glass desk with modernist aluminum frame, the claret tufted leather high-back executive chair on casters, the antique 3 tiered, glass front barrister’s book case, desk lamps, or the tall metal filing cabinet.

The kitchen is deeply supplied with fine cookware and bake ware including Calphalon and Emile Henry, a score of small electrical and manual cooking appliances from pasta makers to countertop cookers, and every hand tool and specialized utensil for the active cook. For entertaining – multiple large sets of Riedel wine and cocktail glasses, a gorgeous selection of French, Czech, Japanese and German fine china with serving pieces to set a sumptuous table, plus a striking Bugatti flatware set, a silver tea/coffee service, platters and trays, tureens, serving stands, candlesticks, fine table linens, delicate etched glassware sets, and handsome pitchers. Hand painted Mexican pottery, entire dish sets in glazed and painted stoneware, and delightful surprises such as cast iron Japanese teapots.

The garage is a craftsperson’s/hobbyist’s/sportsperson’s haven, filled with tools and accessories including a 10” radial arm saw, bench top drill press, 2 Delta band saws, large and small tool chests, hand tools of every sort and size, numerous ladders, hand trucks, saw horses, a sturdy wooden work bench, vice, winch, plumbers’ kits, Hoover and Jiffy steamers, vacuums, Coleman grill, 3 floor safes, and much more. Good selection of garden tools from hand tools, to rakes, hoes, and more. Sporting goods include golf clubs, pool cues, bicycle, oars, water skis, vintage wooden snow skis, a Mercury outboard motor, and fishing poles, reel, and net. Take note of the beautiful Aeronica wood propeller mounted on the wall, and the large vinyl record collection, as well as the collection of games and cards!

Fine table and bed linens throughout, plus a selection of quality vintage jewelry and accessories, women’s and men’s clothing (amazing vintage to contemporary) including formalwear, cashmere, alpaca, and fine leather.
