Storage Locker Auction at Self Storage 1 of Wrigleyville in Chicago, IL: Friday, February 7th 2020, at 10 AM. Three (3) units at Wrigleyville.  Unit numbers subject to change.

Starting at approximately 10 am on Friday, February 7th Keith Hendrix will be auctioning Three (3) storage units of Self Storage 1 of Wrigleyville in the city of Chicago, Illinois on Friday, February 7th. The location is 3839 Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613.  

This is a free public auction and no buyer's premium will be charged to the winning bidders.  This auction is with a minimum reserve bid per unit set by Self Storage 1 who has the right to set minimum bids and to refuse bids.  

Sales terms are CASH ONLY. 

A $100 refundable deposit to Self Storage 1 cleaning fee for winning lockers.  Buyers have 24 hours to remove the items in the units after the sale to receive their deposit back.  Deposit amount to be refunded upon inspection of broom-swept locker within 48 hours after the completion of this auction. Some lockers will be granted until the following Monday at 5 PM to clean out lockers.  In certain exceptions, Self Storage 1 may waive the $100 deposit. Bring your own locks.

Tenants have the right to pay delinquent accounts right up to scheduled auction time, so the amount of units may change up until the time of the auction.  Unit number also subject to change due to cases in need of clerical revisions, certified mailing procedure issues, newspaper advertisement accuracy problems and other legal adherences as well as inability to access unit and unforeseeable acts of nature.  Unit number is expected to change, can change up to the moment of the auction, and may be different than this advertisement, but this number reflects the last communicated unit count from the store manager to the auctioneer.  Please note the unit count can change while auctioneer is in transit to the auction and updates may not be posted due to time or technology constraints.  Storage Locker Manager has the right to cancel units if they deem necessary to comply with Illinois Storage Lien laws and or company policy.

Terms & Conditions

Self Storage 1 is holding an auction to sell the contents of delinquent storage units in accordance with the Illinois Storage State Law, Section 4 of the Self-Service Storage Facility Act and Illinois Auction Law under these Terms and Conditions:

1.  All terms are cash only and Self Storage 1’s  auction is with reserve as Self Storage 1 has the right to set minimum bids and will accept the highest bid as determined by the auctioneer.  Self Storage 1 has the right to refuse any bid and reserves the right to forfeit any sale if bids are unreasonable.

2.  Buyer acknowledges that Buyer is bidding on all items within the unit(s).  Contents of the unit(s) are offered as is with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. Contents of all units are purchased “as is” and “where is”.

3.  The storage unit(s) will be opened at the time of the auction only.  The unit may be viewed from the exterior only and entry into the unit is strictly forbidden as Buyers may not touch any items or open any boxes inside the unit until the unit is paid in full. 

4.  When the Buyer has been awarded the unit(s), Buyer must pay cash for the unit in the amount of the bid.  Upon receipt of proper payment of the unit contents, Self Storage 1 shall furnish the buyer with a cash receipt.  Buyer agrees to pay a $100 refundable cash deposit on all unit(s) purchased.

5.  Buyer must remove all items from awarded unit(s) within forty eight hours of purchase at the auction or the goods will become property of Self Storage 1 (unless Buyer signs a lease agreement for said unit and pays the current month full).  Upon completion of Auction, purchaser is responsible for security of their units. Management is not responsible for lost or stolen items, or security of units after sold.

6. All items must be removed from awarded units and the unit must be cleaned before the deposit is refunded.  Some lockers will be granted until the following Monday at 5 PM to clean out items in units. Self Storage 1 may waive the $100 deposit. Failure to remove items may be grounds for forfeiture of any money and/or goods purchased.  Buyers are required to remove merchandise during store hours.  Buyers will not use dumpster on site.

7. Buyer must immediately return all financial papers, photos, legal documents, tax returns, bank statements, and other items of this nature that were from the awarded unit(s) to Self Storage 1.

8. Buyer acknowledges that in certain circumstances Self Storage 1 may contact the Buyer and request that certain items are purchased back from the Buyer. The Buyer agrees to be reasonable in selling back at a reasonable price any such items that may still be in the Buyer's possession.

9. Auctioneer is acting as a sales agent only for Self Storage 1.  Changes to these Terms and Conditions may take effect only if announced by management or the auctioneer during the auction.  Changes made day of the sale take precedence over printed material.

Acknowledgement and signature of this agreement pertains to written or announced Terms and Conditions at this auction and all future sales this Buyer attends at any Self Storage 1 facility.
