Hope you have already checked out our new redesigned auction site. (Don’t worry – all your sign-on information is the same.) You are going to love the site. We are focused more on what makes CTBIDS powered by Caring Transitions so unique - helping families every day downsize, relocate, and sell the items they no longer need (which become treasures for you) while clearing their homes. CTBIDS is our avenue to get good prices for our clients and great values and finds for you. So, the items we sell sometimes tell a story about our clients. Think back – can you recall an auction with a lot of Asian-inspired items? Or really old barn items? We’ve recently sold a ton of really nice rugs. All have a story. We are now going to start sharing some of those stories with you. We think you will be interested and it helps reinforce the whole ‘repurposing & recycling’ story – you can participate in someone else’s lifelong memories, make your own, and save the world, too!

So, in Auction ‘E’ we start with a story about a gentleman who was in the US Air Force during WWII. He was stationed in Japan and intercepted Japanese short-wave messages to alert our troops about important plots and movement. Even when he came back to the states, he continued this role of interceptor. If his things could talk! Look for his WWII & Asian items in this auction, along with many other unique and everyday treasures. With over 180 Lots, there is something for everyone!

Did you notice that we now have a house floorplan at the top of the main auction page? You can click on a room and see items from this auction that you would typically find in that room. Note - things like lamps and bookcases could be in several rooms. So, you might get the feel of moving around our clients’ homes, looking for a treasure! Or you can continue to look at lots the same way you always have. At Preview on Wednesday, March 11th from 4:30-6:30pm, we will be prepared to answer any questions and show you around the site. With all changes, sometimes we have to learn a new way of doing things. We will help out as best we can.

Auction ‘E’ will start closing on Thursday, March 12th at 7:00pm. Winning bidders will be invoiced electronically that evening and should plan to pick-up their items at the warehouse (1411 Delaware Avenue) on Saturday, March 14th from 9:30-11:30am AND/OR Sunday, March 15th from 3:30-5:30pm. We know these times are weird for us, but we are scheduling around the SEC tournament. Hopefully UK will be in the championship game at noon on Sunday – GO CATS! If the UK game runs long, we will be at the warehouse 30 minutes after the final buzzer. If you think you won items in this auction and do not see an invoice email from us on Thursday night, please go check your Junk email folder or sign onto the auction site, go to My Account, then Invoices to see your new invoice.

COLD WEATHER ALERT: If we need to make any changes to our schedule during these winter months due to bad weather, we will post information on our Facebook page: Caring Transitions Lexington. Please make sure you check for any updates there.
