After 50+ years of collecting straight razors, Robert A. Doyle will be offering at auction his lifetime collection of fancy and unusual straight razors. Doyle, an Auctioneer/Appraiser/Real Estate Broker, started collecting at 16 years of age and has just turned sixty-seven. When asked why straight razors? Doyle responded, "They are small, beautiful, historic, one-of-a-kind artistic pieces that are nearly impossible to reproduce. There are no 'fakes' to be concerned with." He continued, "It is time to allow others the opportunity to own and enjoy these beautiful shaving tools. The straight razor was the most prized personal tool of men through the ages." Items located in Pleasant Valley, NY. PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to keep both our staff and customers safe and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, pickups will be scheduled by appointment for all auctions until further notice. It is highly recommended that you pay via credit card before arriving or email/call us to charge your card on file. We ask that if you are sick, please send a friend to pick up the items for you. Payment is due by Thursday, June 25 at 1PM. Pickup in Pleasant Valley, NY by appointment only & must be completed by Friday, June 26 at 3PM. All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased. Payment methods include Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
