 Renee was the daughter of Hazel Boyd Mitchell also deceased.

Her parents & grandparents lived their life in this community farming and ran a local country store at Boyd's Crossing and Old US Hwy 29 in Pelham N.C.

Renee's mother Mrs Hazel, "Deenie" as she was known to her friends spent a lifetime collecting and accumilating a wide range of antiques. She had a passion for collecting everything from the past and didn't throw much of anything away. She found a use for everything as you will see. She even built cabins and sheds to decorate and display many of her treasures when she would invite friends and family over for holiday get togethers and ice cream socials. She was featured muiltiple times in magazines such as Country Living Country Accent, Nashville Network, newspapers, and featured on local TV show "Roy's Folks". Local artist Mel Steele also painted a series on the Boyd farm which were popular prints featuring Hazel's cabins, quilts and antiques and was used on the cover of a local telephone book. She was recognized many times for her passion for preserving & sharing so much from the past.

She was well known and loved by many and we are honored that Funwood Auctions was chosen to handle the estate. We will offer this unique collection of antiques consisting of pottery, primitives, advertising, railroad items, quilts, folk art, farm items, tractors, cast iron, cars and so much more over 3 auctions scheduled for August 1st, 15th, and 29th 2020

 

The 1st auction will be held Saturday August 1st at 10:00 AM

 

It will feature one of the coolest barn finds ever! A complete 1959 Corvette as found in shed dust and all! It belonged to Renee's father Mr Mitchell. It comes with a title. The last inspection was in 1977. It has the Original wheels and hubcaps and both tops with it and even has the checkerd rear window pillows with it! 

We will also be offering up a 1963 Forder Fairlane 2 door, a 1925 Model T Ford that has already had a restore started with a rebuilt engine and transmission, a 1968 GMC long bed farm truck, Airstream camper, 1996 Harley Davidson Heritage Soft tail motorcycle, a 60's Italian made 65 cc Harley Davidson street/trail bike, an AMF Dirt bike, an enclosed 12 ft motorcycle trailer, a long with a Farmall 140 tractor, Farmall Cub tractor, Massey Ferguson 160 diesel tractor and several farm implements, 3 point auger, disc harrow, scrape blade, bush hog, 3 point back hoe attachment, tiller, Cub Cadet lawnmowers, old golf cart(parts), Cole corn planter, metal yard chairs, and a lot more just in this 1st auction!
