Auction Terms & Conditions Online Auction Start/Close: Wednesday, August 12th @ Noon CST to Saturday, August 15th @ 5:00 p CST.
Soft Close: The auction program has a soft close feature designed to stagger the close of each lot by 15 seconds. However, if a bid is received within 2 minutes from the closing time, that particular lot is extended an additional 2 minutes. This action will repeat itself until bidding has ceased for at least 2 minutes. This provides bidders with a true auction method and not last second sniping as seen on other sites like ebay.
Auction Preview: Wednesday August 12th Noon - 5p, and Saturday August 15th from Noon - 5p CST, or by appointment only. Call Ales Auction Services @ 309/242-0617 to set an appointment if you can not attend the preview. If you submit a bid without attending the preview, you agree and accept the posted photo(s) as your preview. The buyer relies exclusively on their pre - auction inspection and all lots are sold with all faults and defects within. The location of the preview is 1345 County Road 2250E, Roanoke, Illinois.
Registration: You must register online to bid in this auction. Follow the simple steps on the auction site to register. If you do not have internet capabilities, call between 8a CST and 8p CST for assistance. If unknown to Ales Auction Services, ALL BIDDERS with less than a 6 HiBid score, or have been a registered Hi Bid user for less than 6 months, will be required to electronically send a photo of their government issued ID as proof of person. Failure to do so will disqualify you from participating in the auction.
Auction Terms and Conditions: All items are sold AS IS with no guarantees, warranties, or representations expressed or implied. Not responsible for errors, omissions, or accidents. All sales are final. Please inspect the item and ask questions before you bid. Announcements day of sale take precedent over printed and digital materials. By submitting a bid, you understand that your bid is a binding contract between you and Ales Auction Services. You further agree to pay all fees associated with the purchase price (if applicable). For internet based auctions only, we reserve the right to cancel or reopen the auction in the event of a system failure.
Firearms: All firearms are handled through a licensed dealer. A 15.00 processing fee is added to all firearms purchases. Firearms are in the custody of the licensed dealer and are only available for inspection during the scheduled preview times. Any shipment of firearms must be made to another licensed dealer of the buyer's choice.
Payment: Payment is due within 48 hrs from the close of the auction. We accept cash, local checks, and credit/ debit cards. If the buyer is unknown to Ales Auction Services, we reserve the right to hold your items until the check clears, unless you provide a guaranteed funds letter from your banking institution. All internet purchases in excess of $1,000.00 must be made via wire transfer. Transfer fee is $10.00. A 5% fee is added to all credit card charges when the card is not present. If card is present, fee is 3%. No chargebacks are accepted. No buyer premiums!
Checkout/Pickup Dates: Sunday, August 16th from noon to 5p CST, and Monday, August 17th, from 8a -5p CST. If items are not retrieved by Tuesday, August 18th, a $5.00 storage fee will be charged per item, per day unless arraignments agreed to by the auctioneer are made. We are reasonable so a phone call goes a long way to prevent problems.
Shipping: We do offer USPS shipping for smaller items. For larger items, we recommend The UPS Store. If the item description says pickup only, then shipping is not available. Call us for shipping options prior to biding. A $5.00 handling fee is charged per package. Your mailing address must match your billing address. No exceptions.
Failure to Pay: Failure to retrieve and pay for your items after 4 days will result in your forfeiture or claim on said items, and these items will be resold. You will be further banned from participating in any of our auctions, either live or online, and you further agree to reimburse Ales Auction Services for any costs associated with your failure to abide by the terms.
