The items featured in this auction are from the Living Estate of the honorable Rear Admiral Charles F. Horne III. Rear Admiral Horne served in the United States military for 39 years. He was commander of two ships at sea. The USS Robison (DDG-12), named for Rear Admiral Samuel Shelburne Robison, the ship was a Charles F. Adams-class guided missile armed destroyer in the service of the United States Navy, a painting of the ship is featured in this auction. He was also captain of the USS Puget Sound, a painting of this ship is featured in this auction as well. Admiral Horne was instrumental in the negotiations between North Korea and the Chinese at the DMZ in the 1980s. The items listed in this auction were purchased at various ports during his many years of service to the United States.
